Location was great, basic comfortable room. Breakfast and the breakfast staff were excellent as was Darren in the bar. The complimentary drink on arrival was a nice touch. We would stay there again in an upgraded room.
Perfectly located at the gates to The Cathedral Close and ten minutes to Stonehenge. The Chapter House is steeped in history and culture.

Great to stay in such an old building, with the expected creaky floors, wonky stairs and windows, and doorways for people who are 5 feet tall! Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any ghosts. Great location in the centre of the city, easy walk to the cathedral, and the Stonehenge tour bus stop is around the corner. Staff were very helpful and informative. Room was very clean and the bathroom was superb!
Located in the city centre, this elegant, Georgian hotel with pillared entrance boasts modern rooms and private parking. Guests can find a restaurant, a lounge and a courtyard on site.

This hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Nice rooms, a location (across from Salisbury Cathedral!) that could not be matched in terms of convenience, and an incredibly great staff. Shout out to Sharon at reception who was amazing!
Milford Hall Hotel - Hotel Under Renovation is in the heart of this ancient city, just a short walk from the shopping area and cathedral, and is ideally located for visiting Stonehenge.

Go to city visitor center, very helpful.
Go to city visitor center, very helpful. Pretty town, every place walkable. Visit Stonehenge in afternoon, lot less people. Old Sarum was hard to get to and not marked well from bus stop. Magna Carta might not be worth the fee to many.

A small town with lots of pretty old buildings, beside the river. There are some famous sites including the cathedral which I enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately a few things are closed Tuesday and/or Wednesday, so check webistes when planning your trip. It's also 20 minutes from Stonehenge.

Parts of the city are rather grim, other parts are wonderfully historic and worth seeing; the Saturday market is excellent. We didnt go into the Cathedral as we considered the ticket price excessive but we ate very good food in Baroushka in Fisherton Road and the daytime cafe opposite. There is an amazing fishmonger in Fish Row and a good baker adjacent. Walking through the city was difficult as there seem to be endless road/pavement works and hordes of tourists heading for their lessons in history. We came by train as parking would appear to be scarce but there is a good Park and Ride. We were blessed with the cottage, it made up for our disappointment with Salisbury itself.

Love this area, brings memories of childhood as I was born in an area called Salisbury. It has a lovely market to buy goods from, stores, and lots of food options where a Mediterranean breakfast can be experienced. Not to mention Stonehenge... info attainable for Magna Carta resides in this area.
Rooms experienced at places stayed great for short term but I like big open spaces with rooms, nothing against the hosts! Many options offer included breakfasts elsewhere.

I’ve always loved Salisbury as it’s a great place to visit, when you want to see our heritage as-well as modern shops and restaurants/pubs.
On our visit we had dinner in the Chapter house, 10/10 definitely recommend the steak!
Don’t forget the fudge shop near the Gatehouse haha!

Apart from the cathedral, I cannot say I was impressed with the city. It is quiet, and not much going on. It was quiet at the weekend during the evening, and we struggled to find suitable things to do that were interesting to teenagers. I would not wish to live here. The high point was the cathedral which is remarkable.
The hotel was literally down the road from all the shops and cathedral, the price for the room breakfast and dinner were really good value, food was beautiful, the first morning we had a buffet style full english and the second morning we had a waitress, the evening meals were amazing and really well presented, lovely to was the menu, room was spacious and quiet, tv with cable was a bonus, we really had a lovely stay and the staff were all so nice, i would love to return,
Lovely place in a pleasant little town outside of Salisbury. The staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. Nice sunny courtyard outside the bar to have a pint or two. The room was very nice with a window that looked down on a quiet pedestrian lane. I parked right outside the front door of the hotel, although I could have left the car across the street in the town car park without a problem.
The room was well facilitated, comfortable and clean. The shower was amazing! After several inadequate showers in hotels proceeding our stay at the Bell Inn, it was a delight to be rained upon with full pressure hot water. David, the owner, was a wonderful and friendly; his pub is adorably old and well stocked. Finally, the Bell is very well located between Salisbury and Stonehenge.
High-quality, inexpensive room located directly across from Salisbury Cathedral. Easy to get to and we had a view out of window of the Cathedral! the rooms are nicely outfitted and within the college. The staff was superbly friendly and helpful. The room came with breakfast which was an extensive buffet of cooked and fresh food and pastries. the ensuite bathroom was fully equipped.
The hotel is a beautiful old building built over a rushing river. There is an almost unbroken view of the Cathedral across the water meadows, from just outside the hotel. It's about a 20 minute delightful walk to the city centre. The room was comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly. Overall we liked the place very much, and would return.
Convenient location with free parking, less than 10min walk to city centre
Free washing machines, dryer and detergent
Nice breakfast provided in advance
Clear introduction information on the hotel and city in a folder in room
Equipped with kitchen appliances
Self checkin and check out, staff responded promptly on booking.com
Location was ideal. Just outside the town of Salisbury, with countryside views and a good-sized yard ("garden" in England) for recreational activities. The kitchen, dining room, the Japanese garden and the patio (with BBQ grill) were ideal for our group of 12 people. Parking space was also plentiful.
Fantastic location (easy walk to city centre) and very friendly staff.
Breakfast was excellent and the pub was very lively during the evening.
Hotel facilities are very nice and well maintained - took several pictures from the outside of the hotel.
Room was very clean and everything working fine.
Exactly what we needed, 4 friends - with 2 x twin rooms, before the start of our hiking trail. Comfortable, clean and brilliantly located. It is an old hotel, with a great city centre, riverside location, but suited our needs perfectly as we could easily walk to it from Salisbury station.
We liked everything about this hotel, the room, the terrace and the beautiful view, not to mention the shuttle service to and from the city centre. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they served a lovely breakfast in serene surroundings. There were 2 EV charging points.
Breakfast was simply superb - lots of choice and the cooking was first class
Great location - 5min walk to city centre and shops
10 out of 10 for cleanness super duper
Comfort was as high as you get in any 6 star hotel
beautiful comfortable spacious rooms x4 with character
Breakfast was excellent
we had dinner one night in the hotel - was excellent
Location - excellent (parents in their 80's not able to walk too far)
Very clean, good location and very friendly staff. Even though the hotel is in the centre of Salisbury, it is quiet with a beautiful court yard to sit and have a drink in. Perfect.
The house is spacious and the rate is affordable. The walk through the Harnham water meadow into Salisbury is beautifully bucolic. Our host was very friendly and accommodating.
Room attractive and all amenities provided. Good breakfast. Free parking at hotel. Large and beautiful garden area. About 25 mins walk to city centre so a good location
Location Location, Location. The hotel is easy to drive to, is in a quiet part of the city on the river bank and is a short walk to the cathedral and the city centre.
Great location, just a short walk from the city centre and attractions. The hotel is full of character and really comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful.
