The place was easy to find.
The place was easy to find. The gravel road leading up to the accommodation is fine, despite what other travellers say. If your car has got a second gear, you’ll be fine. Upon arrival at the yurt, I was surprised how much personal space you have and it is cleverly secluded. The whole aspect of the garden surrounding the yurt sends to be surf facing, so there’s plenty of sunshine in a nice day. Super little town with great cafes and independent shops. Beautiful old bridge with lovely walks alongside the River Dee. It's busy during the Eisteddfod but you can still get around and find places to eat and drink. Lots to do beyond the festival including a ride on a heritage railway, the peaceful environs of Plas Newydd - learn about the Ladies of Llangollen and explore the house they created. Born there many years ago and even though there are many changes it is still a beautiful place to visit with many things to see and do around the town. Great for food with huge choice of venues dotted about from simple tea shops to full blown restaurants. Car park can fill up quickly even though it's big so arrive early beat the rush is my advice. Had a large balcony room overlooking the river. Bed was comfortable. Nice listening to the rapids. Decent 3 course meal for Sunday dinner. Great focal point for walking round the Llangollen. We walked to the Aqueduct and back calling in Lalngollen for a meal one night. Perfect location for exploring all that Llangollen and the beautiful surrounding countryside has to offer with great canal walks on the doorstep.
