But what makes it really special is the number of high quality restaurants serving delicious local produce. The old town of Todi was charming and one of the few hill towns with its own funicular. We could conveniently park outside the old town and take the the funicular up to dinner or to tour the town. The town was not crowded and yet it was stunning in both its views and its architecture. A block south of the main square there was an excellant restaurant for lunch called Ristorante Pizzeria Cavour, with a fantastic view. I highly recommend seeing the Church of Nunziatina, with 17th century floor to ceiling paintings that are trompe L'oeil (look 3D in 2D) and with beautiful colors.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0

Were tipped off by a friend to go to Todi for a visit. It is only a couple of hours out of Rome but another world away. It was just beautiful, old world and a must visit. It isn't actually in Todi but in the hamlet of Pontecuti which is close to a main highway. This is good for visiting the nearby towns though less good for eating out at night as the nearest restaurants are in Todi. There is ample parking only a few metres from the front door (near the church). The view from the windows and patio is somewhat curtailed by the walls of the old 'borgo' but this helps keep the apartment cool. Stunning views from the room and by the pool. Good variety of food for breakfast (you need to order from them staff to get more options). Delicious dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful.
