Beautiful town, great for travel to all other destinations on the island as it's nice and central and quieter than Oia, but the same beautiful white cliff buildings. Imerovigli offers tranquility, elegance, and a respite from the throngs of tourists in Oia and Fira, Of the various villages on the island, not all are on a bus line. Fortunately, Imerovigli is, so if you want to avoid renting a car or quad, you can get way with that here. You can easily call for a taxi if the bus times do not suit. Fira is conveniently located yet busy, Oia is full of marvelous shops and views but is also crawling with tourists prioritizing Instagram-worthy shots over more meaningful, cultural experiences. The village of Imerovigli is quiet, classy, and understated. Beautiful sunsets, quieter than Fira. I would go back in a heart beat. It is peaceful, clean and you get a real feel of Greek tradition on your doorstep. Walking distance to Fira where you can get the bus to Oia for 2.50 euros Volkan open air cinema is great for sunset and solo traveler. Romantica is a gorgeous Greek restaurant. Imerovigli has a good views and walking access to Fira 3km. We also drove over to Oia for one sunset. Fira area is busier. You can rent all kinds of vehicles…cars, ATVs scooters. Recommend having hotel arrange for pick up at the port if coming by Ferry. Port was chaotic probably because there were also cruise ships full of people there. Best place for staying in santorini. On the cliff of the Caldera of Santorini Imerovigli has amazing view of the sea, the sunset, the volcano, yet still combines the tranquility as it remains one of the most quiet spots of the caldera.Guest review byAnastasios

We actually preferred the sunset and evening in Imerovigli compared to Oia with all the tourists. The hotel gave us a nice quiet, peaceful place to base ourselves and it was lovely to come back and take a swim and relax for a bit in between adventuring. It has a little balcony and comfy wire outdoor chairs with a view and just above that is a beautiful clean pool with sunbeds with that incredible 180° panorama. 90% of the time we had the pool to ourselves otherwise maybe one couple there. Probably the best from Imerovigli to Oia (we took a hike to oia and looked a bit of other hotels with caldera view). Pool is 3 meters from outdoor.
