Enjoyed my one-night stay at this lovely hotel. I found it “oldy-worldy” in the best kind of way. I was in an attic room (room 25, family room) with no view. It had an ensuite with shower over the bath. No lift to the attic rooms, but that is well publicized. Breakfast was very good, served in a sunny room with a nice view. There was a choice of cooked food and continental breakfast. Great location in Dartmouth.

We loved the hotel, the room was really comfortable! The restaurant was perfect, they dealt with my dairy intolerance really easily! There was nothing I wanted but couldn't have! Nothing was ever too much trouble! This was the second time we've visited Dartmouth and stayed in Browns and both times they have exceeded our expectations!

Stunning apartment - well worth the money! We had the apartment for the weekend of our wedding in Dartmouth and we could not have wished for a better location. Our make up artist and photographer were able to have plenty of room to move around as the apartment is so spacious and the location was great - as the photographer was able to dash to the ceremony venue and run back to the apartment for photos of me (bride) and groom. Anne-Marie and her team are fab - great communication pre trip and they even kindly supplied a wedding card, fizz and chocs on arrival which was a special touch. Our best man and best woman stayed with us the whole weekend and they absolutely loved it. It's so central, you can park up and walk everywhere. Sumptuous bedding and towels. High end furnishings and feel. The light streaming through the window in the front room in the stained glass is exquisite - it will make for some stunning pre-wedding 'getting ready' photos. We would return here without hesitation. Thank you to all at the Holland group (especially Anne-Marie) for hassle free booking, a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Wonderful little town.
Wonderful little town. Very picturesque and some nice hidden nooks and crannies. Enjoyed several river trips, visited Agatha Christies holiday home by boat which was lovely . Some nice pubs in Dartmouth particularly the Seven Stars - oldest pub in town and good food and beer!
Will plan another trip soon!
our room in this guest house was lovely, it had a nice outside space with table and chairs which looked out onto the garden. The room was big with living area as well as bed. the bed and pillow where really comfy and we both slept really well. the whole room and bathroom where really clean and tidy. breakfast was nice and the owners where helpful and lovely to speak to. we had a really nice break close to Dartmouth shops and restaurants (must book restaurants in advance!) and the lovely Blackpool sands. we would recommend and stay there again
Breakfast and room drinks excellent. Decor of Bayards very pleasing and suited building. Bed excellent, bedding too. Housekeeping girls excellent and room spotless.
Hotel was in excellent position near ferry, shops and castle. Hotel near to many other eating places and pubs which we used every day.
We were very lucky to get a parking place directly outside Bayards for the duration of our stay and walked everywhere.
The quirky characterful building dating back to the 1400's had many charms.
Property was beautiful. It was clean and the breakfast was outstanding. Neil was a fantastic host and looked after us very well. Beautiful views from the dining room of the hills, Dartmouth and Dart. Would be lovely eating out there during the Summer. The property is high up but we are good walkers so didn’t cause us any issues. Taxis and buses are also an option. Great for parking too which is a godsend in Dartmouth.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Everything was perfect. A very high standard, from the fabulous breakfast with spectacular views overlooking Dartmouth, to the immaculately kept accomdation. I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. We’ve visited Dartmouth previously but never actually stayed in the resort, but so glad we did. Lots of great restaurants and lovely walks. We will definately return.
Location was excellent and as we managed to get parked we used all the local transport to get to steam train & Paignton (ferry from pier) Brixham (bus from Kingswere) and pleasant walk to Dartmouth Castle with small boat ferry back to pier (passing the Mermaid). Would also recommend walking on to Berry Head Hotel in Brixham to enjoy a drink or lunch in their garden overlooking the bay.
We have stayed at BEST WESTERN hotels in the past, so we knew what they were like and this one was very, very nice with the added bonus of a spa and golf course. We wanted to visit DARTMOUTH and as the hotel is situated only 4 miles away so we drove to the very handy park and ride. We had a evening meal at the hotel, which was a small menu, but the food was good.
Absolutely brilliant place to stay in Dartmouth! Lovely, spotless, well equipped rooms; delicious, generous breakfast; great staff, location and facilities! Stylish decor, mini bar and fab tea and coffee options in each room, toiletries and little extras included, even fancy folded towels like a five star hotel, which my children loved!
Browns has an ideal central location just a few minutes walk from Dartmouth's many attractions. My room was a generous size and very comfortable. Cooked breakfast was of a high calibre. The hotel also had a number of recycling bins for people to dispose of any waste in an eco-friendly way and I thought this was a nice touch.
Excellent location in the centre of Dartmouth town, within a short walk of everything. Noise wasn't an issue, even though there was a busy pub a few doors up. High standard of finish to the room . Nice shower. Good selection of tea/coffee supplies. Very comprehensive information pack supplied by the on-site host.
Hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of Dartmouth. It was really quirky inside with a fabulous staircase up the middle of the building and the rooms of the staircase.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a lovely meal in the bar and the breakfast was great.
the best thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff and food in resturant,we have just returned from a midweek break and they couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant in such difficult times, excellent, and very organised. views are amazing from conservatory tables.
This quirky and fun pub with rooms is perfectly located. The breakfasts were superb and staff at all times excellent. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Dartmouth to stay here.
Perfect Hotel with perfect staff! Very friendly and polite. Would definitely return to visiting Dartmouth again.
Would have loved if they could have offered breakfast, however they did tell us of places to go.
This is a family run hotel and it shows in the level of service you receive. A team who really care about you and just as importantly the staff they employ. My first choice of somewhere to stay in Dartmouth.
The Seale Arms is located in an ideal place for visitors to explore all that Dartmouth has to offer. Most attractions, pubs and restaurants are within a very short walking distance from the pub.
The location was excellent, so close to Dartmouth town, yet out in the countryside. The weather was very kind so we were either at the beach or cooking on the bbq outside the chalet
