Great location. The entire property was designed beautifully- every room was unique and interesting. It was the quintessential Cotswold escape. Food was delicious and there were lots of lounging areas. The dining room was packed every night - which was a great sign that locals love it too.

Thyme is located on a country estate in the Cotswolds, 26.1 miles from Oxford. Guests can enjoy breakfasts and suppers in the Tithe Barn.

Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.

We only explored the local weir whilst on dog walks, as it was more important to spend quality time together as a family whilst staying in Buscot Manor. The local tea room looked very welcoming and the ambience of the village felt safe and serene. Cute chocolate box houses with well maintained gardens made it a delightful place to celebrate a multigenerational family gathering. Definitely on the to do list to come back to explore more. We did order a curry from Khushi based in Lechlade for all 12 of us and it was delicious.

The surrounding area was lovely, however the weather stopped us from enjoying it more. Typical, quaint Cotswolds village. If you like Indian food, I can recommend Khushi in Lechlade- best curry we’ve had!
