We had a lovely room overlooking the golf course. Very quiet room with a comfortable bed. Choice of pillows which was really nice. It was great that there was a bar & restaurant, delicious food. Breakfast was plentiful & had several options. Would I stay again - definitely!

The bed was a king size but it wasn't it was two beds put together the mattress was rock hard. No where for the partner to put her make up on. The bed was practically up against the wall.

We stayed here to goto Bombay sapphire, so its well placed (4 miles ish away) has parking and the rooms were very large and with a great bed. Showeroom only but a good size with a good shower.
Being attached to a Stonehouse pub meant good value lunch and breakfast on the day of our departure.

Overall appearance and location of of Hotel. Generous Room size.
Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church.
Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church. Their are some lovely country walks. The George and Born has a more lively feel in the evening and food is more down to earth, and accommodation is clean and sufficient, but small rooms. Met our needs!

The only reason we were in the area was to visit our son and grandson. Notmally we would have stayed with them but they are the process of moving so it was not possible to stay with them..

We stayed at Bel and the Dragon and would happily stay again. The staff were friendly and efficient. The place was spotlessly clean and the food exceeded our expectations.
The bedroom was very comfortably furnished and the bed was just right, plenty of comfortable pillows and high quality bedding. The bathroom has lovely products, I particularly liked the fact that single use products were not used, much more green to have refillable containers. We stayed one night to be close the Bombay Sapphire distillery, and would definitely stay again,

Kingsclere is a small village with two pubs a beautiful church and adequate services in terms of shops - a butcher, chemist and two grocery shops. It was less what Kingsclere had to offer but its location within an area with plenty of places to visit and with much to do. It was nice to be away from the pace of life these days but close enough to reconnect simply and quickly whenever you wanted to.

Nice village with several pubs.
Nice village with several pubs. Good walking at Watership Down nearby. I ate at Bel and the Dragon but there are other places in the village. If one wished one could drive to Newbury or Basingstoke easily too.
I would have answered that the property exceeded my expectations if we had not had a previous stay that exceeded our expectations. On second thoughts, I could have answered that this stay exceeded our expectations because this time we were able to enjoy an excellent dinner with our son and daughter-in-law in the restaurant, which was not possible on the previous occasion.
Thanks to Nick, the hotel manager and his friendly, charming team!
Perfect location for our trip to a Jubilee event in Kingsclere. The staff were welcoming and the room, although quite small had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the included breakfast. Parking was free onsite, limited availability, but plenty of on street options outside the hotel. Nice touch having complimentary Sloe gin in the room making a perfect night cap.
The atmosphere if the hotel and staff were really friendly. we thought we booked for breakfast, but on the 2nd morning we were told we hadn't the manager didn't charge us for the breakfast we has in the 1st morning and said we could have breakfast the 2nd morning fir half price.
Quite outdated thought room was clean.Shower drain needed cleaning out(wasn't prepared to do that)as nearly overflowed so more than likely hair blockage(am a housekeeper)Breakfast better on Sun than on Sat.More a B&B than a hotel.
The pub is located in a beautiful village (Kingsclere) lovely to walk around. Has two other places to eat but here the food is just as good. Friendly welcome from all the staff. Breakfast was great and included in the stay.
That there was a bath and shower.
The beds are very comfy and large in size.
A selection of pillows for the bed to choose from.
Staff members were polite and helpful.
Location of hotel.
Breakfast was delicious.
Friendly staff welcomed us back for our third visit to this charming small but lively hotel in rural Hampshire. Nice country touches such as sloe gin provided in the room. Superb breakfasts served with a smile.
I booked a three night stay here, recently. The hotel was great, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very inviting, each morning.
