Boutique hotel with a very small number of rooms in a historic building was out of sight; room was spacious and bedding including extraordinarily soft high thread count cotton sheets; bartender was friendly; receptionist was hugely helpful acting as concierge to answer all of my local questions; deck view of estuary mouth and English channel was awesome; complimentary smooth as water gin stored in a crystal decanter and tonic water was a fantastic surprise

The suite was extensive with a huge bathroom. Rather a bizarre configuration because it comprised various parts of an old house, but very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially accommodating our having breakfast in a separate room as we weren't feeling terribly well. The grounds were lovely, too. A lot of thought and work has been put into this hotel.

The staff at this hotel are so friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. Considering this is a hotel at a services it is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The services next door are useful for food and have a small co-op which was handy. It is very well positioned to go either further into Cornwall or back to Devon

Had dinner in the hotel was absolutely lovely, as was the breakfast. Cannot fault it. Staff amazing.
Lanlivery is peaceful and beautiful. The nearby church and the farm shop are definitely worth visiting. Our sat nav took us along a long narrow lane, though if you look out for the brown sign to The Crown Inn, that road is a better one.

It's a lovely place to stay and New owner very easy to talk to and has good plans moving forward. Tracy breakfast really lovely and attentive .
Young staff in the evening need training up and the young chef needs to be trained up to know what to serve and not serve eg mushrooms well past there sell by date.
Was told specials menu changed every evening but it wasn't. Prices on some food needs looking at too pricey.
Showers in the rooms defo need looking at gave up on them lol. Also needs a non slip mate in shower.
But on the whole a really nice place to stay just few minor things need looking at but sure new owner will do that in time .
Good luck with your new venture

Lanlivery is a small hamlet inland from Fowey. There is a lovely old church behind The Crown Inn which we visited. Beautiful views from the church graveyard. Very handy area for visiting NT properties and gardens, including Eden Project, Lanhydrock, Heligan, beaches and other places of interest in the area

12 century inn in a quiet location. Customer service was great from the start! Large bathroom and room HOWEVER thin pillows, bright sign (fire exit) and hard bed. Would recommend still!! Also we loved that it was dog friendly.

Very quiet village, really handy for exploring the area.We didn't want to be in a busy town so Lanlivery was perfect. The church just by the Inn is beautiful and we walked a little around the area but we mainly wanted to explore Fowey/Charlestown and surrounding areas. If the weather is good we would recommend Readymoney Cove as a beach to visit-just outside Fowey. The carpark is a 5/10 minute walk but it is beautiful. There is a farm shop in Lanlivery and we ate in the Crown Inn-worth a visit
