Great reception.. shown to our room and helped with our bags. Clean rooms, although very old bathroom fittings (but it's currently being refurbished, so I'm assuming will upgrade shortly). Brilliant cooked breakfast.. very tasty!
Located just 10 miles north of Gretna and well located in a scenic area of south-west Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is a magnificent 15th century manor set in extensive gardens and grounds.

Really excellent continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Bedroom was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Easy access from the motorway. Friendly hosts and a warm welcome.
With a beautiful rural setting in the spectacular Scottish countryside, this small, family-run hotel is halfway between Lockerbie and Gretna Green, just off the A74(M).

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Convenient for A74. Appreciated late check-in.
Good breakfast in characterful room. Cheerful and helpful host.
Overlooking Annandale Water, this Days Inn hotel is just off highway A74M, about 25 minute drive from Gretna Green. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.
I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

It was a lovely building, breakfast nicely cooked , no other choices to full Scottish, fresh fruit would have been nice ....the breakfast is priced at £14.95 and not £11.95 as stated on booking .com ..
Bathroom light was automatic and an issue when using through the night ...beds comfortable though we found the room too hot ...
I probably wouldn't stay again

Lockerbie is a quiet, sleepy town with very little in the way of restaurants. Hotel was tired but clean and comfortable - renovation should modernise it.
Golf course was quite hilly however provided great views of surrounding area - people at golf club were however very friendly and helpful. Nearby Lochmaben was a much better golf experience for anyone looking to golf in the area.
People were however very friendly in the area.

I use Lockerbie as my half way stop to the Highlands and always enjoy my stays. Such beautiful scenery and nature. I also pay my respects to the people lost in the tragic Lockerbie air disaster. Such a beautiful setting, so peaceful and respectful.
A very high quality Hotel. To be honest, we were all surprised at the standard of furnishings & quality of meals. Dinner was exceptional - do try the Sirloin steak! A request ahead to allow me to plug my electric car charger into a 13Amp socket overnight was absolutely no problem & a great convenience to us. I would definitely stay again if visiting the Lockerbie area & my 2 travelling companions agree with my comments entirely.
Lovely apartment with very friendly host in a good location in Lockerbie. Less than 5 minutes walk to tesco and very good playground round the corner!
Well equipped kitchen with essentials provided (milk, tea coffee etc)
Great selection of games and toys keeping us and our 18m old entertained!
Dog friendly too - box of treats and water bowls provided too!
Perfect stopover on route to further north in Scotland.
We stayed here for a wedding we attended at the hotel. Everything was perfect. From arriving snd being welcomed from the moment we checked out. Staff so friendly and welcoming. The room was huge and very clean. Slept well. The room was equipped with little toiletries and coffee, tea etc. the view from the room was amazing. Shame it was so cold to sit out but amazing to see non the less.
The Townhead hotel is ideal for breaking the long trip back to England. The restaurant provides excellent food and service, don’t bother looking anywhere else in Lockerbie. We were very grateful that we were able to stay with our golden retriever. Thank you Stephen, Lee and your team.
Lovely quiet place to stay - a friendly welcome and a truly excellent breakfast. Suits me perfectly for a safe overnight stop. The nearest evening meals are in Lockerbie a mile down the road, but I usually bring a picnic, which the owners don't seem to mind.
The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The hotel is undergoing a revamp of the rooms at the moment and judging by the work already carried out when finished will be really excellent.
Lovely family run hotel, on the border near to England, we stopped off here on our way home from a break further up north. The food in the pub bit was absolutely excellent. The staff (owners) really care about looking after you.
Gorgeous wee railway cottage. Very well equipped kitchen including tea, coffee, pint of milk in the fridge and basic foods in the cupboard - oil and rice. Games etc in the living room and a nice wee outdoor area as well.
Breakfast was faultless everything cooked to perfection. Owners helpful and friendly. Location excellent although Lockerbie itself a disappointment. Room inc bathroom were to a high standard.
Just loved this hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. It is not a luxury hotel but it met every need we had and we thought the staff made it exceptional.
The owner upgraded us to the bridal suite free of charge, due to their sister hotel not being available for dinner, which worked perfectly for us. Hotel was cosy and dinner was lovely.
The staff went above and beyond. The young lady on reception (01-07-2023) catered to our every need.
The location is idyllic and the hotel is beautiful.
I would certainly recommend.
Easy to find, plenty of parking.
Really, genuinely dog friendly.
Staff so friendly, real family atmosphere.
Clean rooms.
Food lovely.
Dog can sit with You when you eat.
Comfortable and clean. Nice old hotel building. Friendly staff. Excellent location on the town centre. Handy for pubs, shops, restaurants. A stone's throw from the station.
First hotel we stayed in on our Scottish heritage vacation. This was the hidden gem, enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the way we were made to feel welcome.
