Nice quiet market town with plenty of history and quite a few pubs, with plenty of places to eat
The anne of cleaves pub was lovely with posh pub food (mussels, big burgers etc)
Most things in walking distance
We stayed for one night at the harboro pub/hotel which was very central, had a great menu and an indian restaurant attached with friendly staff

Great market and good pubs.
Great market and good pubs. Good choice of supermarkets within 5 minutes drive, Sainsbury’s being the largest. Although we came by car, the railway station is only 3 minutes walk from The Willows. Local people very friendly and it felt very safe to walk at night. We did a pork pie making class at Brockleby’s who have just won pie of the year award and it was great fun. They also do bread making classes. We enjoyed the antique fair on market day with some very friendly stall holders. We will return to this lovely town. We enjoyed the Anne of Cleves pub . The food was delicious and there is a huge garden at the rear. You need to book !

We stayed at Tresillian House B&B for 2 nights - 16th/17th September (family wedding). Alison is the perfect host, she welcomed us in to her beautiful home and we felt as if we were part of her family. The whole house is immaculately clean. Our room was very spacious and there was a wide variety of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits plus a mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable with pure white cotton linen and the pillows made for a great night's sleep. We had access to the lounge which is very cosy and welcoming and the garden is absolutely stunning. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choice including pastries, cereal, bread, jam and real butter. All the food is locally sourced and freshly cooked to perfection. Alison, we can't thank you enough for making our stay any more perfect. You are so lovely, kind, very welcoming and very hard working. We're looking forward to booking another weekend stay with you in the very near future.

I liked the market town character & facilities.
I liked the market town character & facilities. I also liked the range of restaurants & bars, some good shops here, was able to find a suit for a funeral, fresh fruit in the market, nice beer garden in The Anne of Cleves, lovely little pub called 'The Boat', Caffe Italia is a nice bistro, nice little independent coffee places like 'Off the Beaten Path'. Everywhere is easily reachable by foot without the need for transport. It has a huge LIDL & Morrisons. There's a range of banks, even a theatre!

The property was 2 min walk over a river to a beautiful park and into a beautiful old English felling town with a few pubs and shops, a small drive to fishing lakes and country side, we definitely coming back to explore more a weekend was not enough time to do all we wanted to do.
Exceptional property with amazing countryside views. The property has been created with the best quality in mind - bed linen, towels, bed, furniture…. A choice of three smart tv’s and a large Amazon Echo provided great entertainment choices but there was also games, books etc. The garden room was also a lovely extra space. The hosts were also friendly and welcoming and provided Danish pastries and other goodies as well as a well stocked kitchen with herbs, sauces etc.
The house was conveniently located opposite a quiet pub, in a very pretty, friendly village, within 10 minutes drive of beautiful Melton Mowbray. The reality was even better than the photos on Booking.com. We didn't meet our host, but exchanged helpful, friendly text messages & phone calls. I would strongly recommend this cottage to someone who counts fishing among their hobbies. For those who indulge, there's a decent range of board games in the property
Lovely classic hotel that was definitely better than I expected having experienced other Best Western hotels elsewhere. Would definitely book there again if I need to be in that area. Room very comfortable and food very good. Would have preferred a blind on the bathroom window rather than just opaque glass... but that's a small detail. Hotel also had lovely gardens although unfortunately I was on a work visit and didn't have time to enjoy the gardens.
The location was great and it was convenient to know that if the weather wasnt cooperative, we could just go downstairs for a drink or a meal. Additionally, the room was modern with sets of plugs and USB ports on either side. Additionally, the bathroom was also nicely done out as well. Parking was a bit tricky but we managed to make it work (i.e. spaces were limited and somewhat awkward).
Really beautiful venue, attended for a wedding so we decided to book a room to stay. Room was lovely, bed was really comfy. Fan was supplied due to heat wave without us asking. All of the staff provided exceptional customer service.
Food was beautiful. I wish we had enough time to use the spa facilities but unfortunately we were unable to.
The location in Melton Mowbray was just right for us. The property is secluded and yet only ten minutes walk from the town centre. The proprietor was totally approachable, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a pleasure - both the food and the interaction with other guests. An extensive and well tended garden provided peace and tranquility.
Modern, comfortable, spacious house in a very small, quiet village with good facilities. Convenient for our stay for wedding stay and commute. A good family home with excellent parking and garden space. Easy access to nearby places like Rutland Waters.
Everything. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, modern and a wonderful respite from the cramped quarters of NYC where I live. Loved the old barn beams and the countryside. Will be back again. For sure.
I found the hotel very efficiently run, by really nice people.
My room was spacious and comfortable, with a crisp clean modern bathroom.
The breakfast was great too.
The Garden was lovely too.
Good location in the countryside with amazing views and 10 minutes by taxi into town.
Host very friendly and helpful.
Room and bedding all kept very clean and comfortable.
Very good value.
Loved my weekend retreat enjoying the countryside around Melton Mowbray and the town itself. Several beautiful churches at Wyfordby and Stapleford well worth a visit!
