Loved that it was located right by the sea. It was peaceful and beautiful. We loved the restaurant, their food was delicious. Isla was the best waitress and we enjoyed chatting with her. She gave us some great recommendations for things to see and so.

We were moved to the Old Inn because of maintenance issues. The Inn was very nice. They had a variety of both hot and cold items for breakfast. Dinner in the pub downstairs was very good. We discovered a walk next to the Inn to a waterfall which was quite nice.

Gairloch is lovely; we stayed two days and enjoyed our travels out and about in the area but would not return to this hotel again. Hated having to come back to it for the second night, whereas we should have been looking forward to it. We had to experience another night in a double bed that was two single beds put together (badly).... and that had two SINGLE quilts on top ????? - and then to wake up in the morning to a second breakfast - a repeat of the awful shambles the day before. So - Gairloch is a lovely place but this hotel is NOT recommended. Way overpriced and under delivers in all areas.KayUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

We loved our stay at Gairloch Hotel. We were lucky enough to get a room with the sea view and made for the stay to be amazing. Nothing like watchibg the sun set behibd the hills of Skye from your bedroom window!

The beach and camp site along the road was absolutely lovely, we paid £4 to park at the camp sight and took a lovely walk around the sight and the beach, definitely worth a look plenty for children to go there

Glass bottomed boat trip to see the seals highly recommended. Knowledgeable skipper who allowed some of the children to drive the boat and earn a certificate. Gairloch Museum, in a former nuclear bunker, is really well laid out and interesting for adults and children. The café is great too, with a view from its terrace. Don't miss Inverewe Garden, and allow several hours to walk around this surprising collection of trees & plants which really shouldn't be able to thrive here! Great views too.

Nice bathroom with bath and overhead shower. In the evening we ate in the hotel restaurant, the food and service were great and they were very accommodating when I requested gluten-free food. Nothing was too much. They had a local man playing the bagpipes outside early on and a singer inside later. If this isn't your thing then there was a lovely lounge area in the lobby that was so cosy.

There are several shops/cafes close by and the village is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is big and spacious with comfortable reception areas. It has a restaurant serving good food and breakfast was a buffet with a good selection. Excellent for exploring the area.
