Stayed a few times and the rooms never disappoint. Check in staff member Naha (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was exceptional and a credit to the hotel. Great location and great staff.

The room was immaculate with attention to all details. The wet bar and bathroom were stocked with the appropriate amenities. The coolest thing was the blinds closing after we left and opening automatically when we came back into the room. We had a great view of the old church and the park which was very nice. The location was walkable to the mall and train station, which was also a plus. The view of the Oval from the restaurant and bar was great, too.

Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The Torrens River flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches, with historic Glenelg as a favorite local playground, while further south are the shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car onto the beach.

Transport options are great following construction of tram lines. Entertainment and dining options are good but limited due to population size. We really liked the old Tattersall’s pub opposite our accomodation - food and staff were 1st rate. Transport immediately outside and shopping a 2 minute walk away.

I have been to Adelaide many times over many years, but have stayed with family. This time I chose to stay in a hotel and I'm glad I did. The Ibis is so close to everything and I liked that, even on a Monday evening, there were lots of people around and I felt safe. A vibrant city, with beautiful architecture, parks and gardens and I especially like the Central Markets, which I visited early on Tuesday morning. The Art Gallery of South Australia, which was the focus of my visit, is really beautiful and I particularly enjoyed their current exhibition, Dangerously Modern. In general, the gallery has a wonderful collection, well worth viewing again.

Adelaide is a great place. The people are so friendly.

Adelaide is a great place. The people are so friendly. Transport is easy to find and use, an amazing free bus & tram that circles the city. Driving is also very easy to do. A well planned city that is surrounded by amazing, picturesque parklands. Amazing restaurants and food. The 3 different winery areas all offer amazing experiences of wine, food, relaxation and art. The tours on offer are great and very informative. The zoo, botanic gardens, the markets, the casino, Himeji gardens, great shopping within the city. Then lovely beaches and wineries just a short drive away. Wanting the perfect way to relax - treat yourself to the paddle boat cruise at Murray River - food and cocktails so good. Something for everyone awaits you in Adelaide.

Easy city to navigate & move around.

Easy city to navigate & move around. Public transport & FREE tram & city bus loops were very convenient. The tour of the Adelaide Oval was amazing. We don't follow any sport to any great extent, however this tour was very, very interesting. Brenton, the guide, just "reeled off" so many facts & figures from memory. The tour includes an inside tour of the Scoreboard. That was incredible. This tour is a MUST when you visit Adelaide.

My second time staying at The Franklin. I have a preference to stay at smaller, boutique hotels of which Adelaide doesn't have many but The Franklin fulfills that wish beautifully. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is better than most hotels irregardless of the size, and there are complimentary drinks in the bar fridge. It's around the corner from the. Central Market and a 10min to the CBD/ Rundle Mall.

The cabin was comfortable and neat for our family of 5. Our 3 teens enjoyed the comfortable stay and homey feel of the place. Everything that we needed was already there, from utensils to comfy pillows and blankets. Plus! The location is accessible to CBD and beaches that we planned to visit in Adelaide.
