Offering a garden, Sea Chanties offers pet-friendly accommodations in Amity Point. Brisbane is 26 mi from the property. Limited free WiFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. The setting is beautiful, the cabins are lovely as is Jane the manager. Being able to have our dog with us was great! We’ll be back.
Located in Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island, Manta Lodge YHA & Scuba Center offers a large communal lounge, a shared kitchen and an onsite SSI dove center. This place is right on the most beautiful beach! It was clean and quiet, and had everything we needed.
Amity Point is great if you have a car. It's more remote and private. Perfect for a quiet weekend with friends. Good halfway point between the major attractions and the ferry. Some streets have no street lights and things are spread out. So I wouldn't recommend walking around at night.
A great place to base yourself when visiting Straddie. The restaurant/cafe Seashells is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is very reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and they even have kids meals with no age limit! So if you are an adult that prefers smaller meals you are more than welcome to order a kids meal.
It's the smallest town in the North Stradbroke island, while it's really full of peace and beautiful surprise. In the only supermaket of Amity Point, you can purchase almost everything you want, and can send post card with the memory of Straddie island.. There's a licenced cafe and restaurant close to the supermarket, which I highly recommend! The coffee is so nice! I never image that I could meet such nice coffee in this small island! Lastly, do you know that there's a "fish market" in the Amity Point? Try to go there to have the fresh fish/oyster... you can enjoy them with the open kitchen in the Sea Shanties.
Very quiet, relaxed and friendly village. Could use one or two more places to eat but otherwise it’s a great place to kick back and do very little. Less to see and do than Point Lookout but we preferred it that way - Point Lookout felt congested in comparison. Stock up on provisions first though. The prices at the General Store are nuts.
Our accomadation was advertised at amity but it was actually cylinder beach. It's a fantastic place for families and singles alike. All ages. Great wildlife watching. Beautiful walks and stunning beaches. We bought our own food, however the ice cream shop was a great place to go after a long swim. Very easy to get around although we had our own car. There is an island bus that comes frequently tho.
Amity point is little piece of paradise. In keeping with that traditional beachside town it remains untouched. Calm water side which is great for young families and some of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see. Pure Heaven!
