The serenity of the location was so restful, sitting outside on the verandah, with paddock and bushland in view helped us really relax.
Inside was just as beautiful; tastefully furnished and decorated with everything you could need for a night or a week.
Wonderfully comfortable beds, good shower and we'll equipped kitchen.
A great place to stay.

Lovely location, and the owners were absolutely great!! Kitchen was well equipped and we didn’t need to bring anything apart from food. The wine and snacks are very welcome after a long drive. Julie-Anne was so nice and great with the kids.

The spa was good, and the location with the birdlife and sheep. Fireplace; provided, although we did not use it. Plenty of wood available for this. Totally private cabin could not see the Neighbour's from the back deck while in the spa. This lived up to expectation.

Lovely room with a private sitting area immediately outside. Gardens were beautiful. Cathy was an attentive hostess who took an interest in us and added several extra touches to make our stay enjoyable. Numerous coffee choices were provided in our room. We appreciated the Australian port which she left for us when we arrived and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with home made jams the next morning. I loved the gift of a special soap she gave me when we left. All in all, we had a wonderful stay with a lovely hostess.

Townsite is tiny and offers only the basics so you need to plan ahead regarding food and other things you'll need. Nothing open within the townsite for dinner so meals need to be planned.
Greenbushes Pool is 10ks away and is perfect for a cooling swim during the warmer months.

Balingup is a small village on the main highway.
Balingup is a small village on the main highway. It is a quiet and peaceful location but suffers with heavy truck traffic. Travelling around the area involved quite a few trips on unsealed roads and some local maps were a little lacking. The absence of phone signal in the locale restricts the use of satellite navigation, thus exacerbating the map issues!
Eating out was a challenge, but with the Shamrock Hotel in Greenbushes only ten minutes away and Bridgetown another 15 minutes along the highway, there are opportunities - but maybe not on Mondays!
The area is very much geared to people who enjoy nature. Walking/cycling and appreciating the forests and greenery.

The town was very quaint, excellant facilities for breakfast and lunch but no where for dinner, well a short drive away in another town. Very picturesque and very clean and tidy, we will be back. Loved the stay here.

Very small town with not much there but a few local shops, a Tavern, Cafe & Restaurant. Unfortunately the Tavern & Restaurant were both closed on our trip due to renovations. However, location is great if you want to go out on day trips to other country towns as there were plenty to visit within an approx. hour radius. Perfect place if you want to just relax in the peace & quiet or do some trail walks through the Golden Tree Forrest. Make sure you take plenty of food as the general store only has basic things. However, Donnybrook has a new big IGA which will take you about 30-40 mins to get to.

Balingup is a lovely area and town.
Balingup is a lovely area and town. We will return there many times in the future. would thoroughly recommend the area for anyone who would like to get away from things and enjoy some real country charm.
The studio was really tastefully decorated and well appointed, with everything that you would possibly need for a short stay, full kitchen, toiletries washing machine and dryer, BBQ and fire pit with supply of wood and fire starters.
The studio set apart from the farmhouse creating a very private space with beautiful views across the valley.
A perfect romantic getaway , very welcoming.
And only a few minutes from Balingup town.
Nice bush walks nearby.
Host was very accessable by phone/ email to answer queries.
Great location and setting. Great cottage design. Well presented and clean inside and out. Attention to details. Beds are comfortable, showers and taps are working well. Fully equipped kitchen and good amount of crockery for a family of 4. well maintained surroundings. And most of all Lynn was very friendly an quick to respond to requests/queries/needs. Overall our stay was a great experience and fuss free. I would recommend Jalbrook cottages for a relaxing holiday in Balingup and surrounds.
Beautiful clean, well appointed house. Away from the highway and with lovely views over Balingup. 2 issues were probably my fault. It doesnt have a washing machine (not listed- l just overlooked) and l could not work the electric stovetop. The outdoor undercover area is really big and comfy and the parking easy and convenient.
The views are magic and the Chalet is conveniently located. The chalet is heated and we barely felt the cold on this Winter escape. The hills and trees in Balingup and surrounding districts are spectacular. I would highly recommend the drive from Balingup to Nannup for the most scenic adventure on winding roads ever.
Excellent location near a natural bush reserve and close to Balingup. The view over the paddocks was lovely to wake up to. The wood burner heated the whole house very effectively. The shower delivered very hot water with excellent pressure.
Such a cute little wagon with a beautiful garden. We loved sitting on the bed at night waching movies, it was so cosy especially as it was raining outside. Balingup is such a cute little town and a nice place to go for walks and just relax.
Everything from the warm welcome from Rosie to all the amenities provided and the many little touches that made it such a memorable stay. The only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Balingup is such a beautiful little gem.
Lovely chalet, beautiful views, clean, bright and great set up.
Great place to base yourself for exploring this corner of the beautiful South West including Balingup, Bridgetown, Greenbushes and Nannup.
A nice quite stay in the country. It was just as I had hoped avoiding the crowds of the bigger towns. Met some friendly people in the shops in Balingup and bought some local handicrafts and produce.
Location was handy between Balingup and Nannup and very peaceful. The gardens were pretty and the birdlife a real treat. Hosting was friendly but allowed us lots of privacy.
