The Haven View - Airlie Beach, hotel in Hamilton Island

Providing a garden, The Haven View - Airlie Beach provides accommodations in Airlie Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

The view is absolutely stunning! It really made the place!! The location is great as long as you have a car as it’s not in the heart of Airlie Beach. It is too far to walk to cafes, shops etc. We were aware it was out of town and we were fine with that. It is a lovely quiet area. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved the little touches - nice coffee, coconuts for us to open and eat, cereal, juice, jams, honey and other snacks for us. The view from inside the room was amazing!! They had phone chargers to use incase you forgot yours. There was a hammock to lay in to watch the stars and a small fire pit full of timber to use. Perfect place to chill out and read a book.

We stayed 4 nights at the Lagoon Apartments which was great but could have done with another couple of nights just to enjoy more of what it has to offer. The scenery, tranquility and wildlife were terrific. The island is so picturesque, the views are fabulous. The weather was a lovely average of 28 degrees and humid. Everyday was perfect for a swim at the beach and pools and the water temperature was just right. Water & land activities were great. We played mini golf, table tennis, snorkelled, kayaked and stand up paddle boarded. The Wildlife Park was very enjoyable and the pools were the best. Loved the Main, Sails and Bougainvillea pools as well as our private pool. The atmosphere all around was fantastic. We enjoyed the live entertainment and food & drink spots the place has to offer around the Marina. We dined at the Pizzeria & Gelato, Marina Tavern, Ice Cream Parlour, One Tree Hill and also enjoyed a BBQ on our balcony. It was so easy and so much fun to get around too by buggy and the free shuttle buses were also very convenient and good for sightseeing. We also enjoyed browsing the shops and bought some nice souvenirs, magnet, bookmark and cap. It is a holiday we’ll never forget and hope to have again!

Hamilton Island is a very niche place to visit with magnificent facilities and first rate accommodation, restaurants and activities. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey but you know that before you visit but it is worth the time spent in such a secluded, safe and happy environment.

Busy and everything needed to be booked.

Busy and everything needed to be booked. Everything and everyone were wonderful, enjoyed some delicious meals in beautiful settings. Everywhere you looked was a feast to the eyes and the ease of flying in and out was a bonus. Monterey and Qualia were great, half day trip swimming at chalky and Whitehaven beaches was highlight.

The island is lovely could do with more and better casual dining and being of Italian heritage we take our coffee seriously! Which was lacking in quality on island , we expected supplies and dining to be expensive which it was , the bakery does offer probably the best good easy options for basic eating 👍🏻 We dined at Thai and the Italian (Romanos ) both nice but quality of dishes could have been better , staff were polite / friendly . We walked a lot and made use of the buggies Half of the family did a 4hr trip to Hayman for snorkeling and enjoyed immensely 😀

Hamilton has a lot to offer.

Hamilton has a lot to offer. I would liken it to a land based cruise experience. Restaurant bookings should be made before you arrive, particularly if visiting in peak holidays. Relatively expensive all round with cocktails a touch under $30 AUD each. Whilst a buggy was included with accommodation you would be up for $130+ per day to hire. Hillside accommodation would necessitate a buggy unless very fit! Try Bommie for sunset cocktails and Mariners for an excellent seafood platter. Popeyes over-rated but bakery good for a quick snack. IGA well patronised with lots of food options and a liquor store. Sails would be the main focus for families with a great pool area / beach access.

    Location excellent.

Location excellent. Lovely peaceful outlook, beautiful views, walking distance to restaurants and beach. Unfortunately, we found beach not easily swimable. Pebbly, no surf. Watch out for stingrays in shallows when walking at low tide. Bring beach shoes for comfort. There are other pools accessible though, and snorkeling trips fabulous. Apartment beautifully appointed and well set out, lovely long balcony onto lawn. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The buggy made longer trips easy.

What not to like? Hamilton Island is a stunning location and Whitsunday Apartments made our stay very enjoyable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with stunning views overlooking the water. The bus on the island stops at the hotel which is very useful in the heat and with the hilly walk up/down to the harbour. Only slight complaint was I had requested in advance that the sofa bed be made up but we were left to do that ourselves, but that is only minor

This comfortable, spacious and well-appointed apartment is, and for us will continue to be, a great base from which to enjoy and explore beautiful Hamilton Island. The views of the Resort pools, Catseye Beach and the Coral Sea are stunning, the bed is very comfortable and the balcony with its BBQ, table and lounge chairs are the perfect outdoor living area.

Hamilton island is great to relax and the apartment was perfect for it. It was spacious, stylish and very well equipped. We had a three bedroom apartment with three bathrooms, which was a perfect fit for our family of four.

Great central location on Hamilton Island. Wonderful views and handy to everything, but still very peaceful too. No problems using the golf buggy provided for transport, but we could also walk to most locations easily.
