Tambourine Mountain is just beautiful. Lots to do but a lot of things are weather dependant. Roads very windy and narrow to get up there, but definitely worth it when you get there! Great place to escape for a long weekend or romantic getaway filled with lovely wineries, restaurants, cafes, skywalks and rainforest!
Mount Tambourine is always beautiful. Located a short drive from the Gold Coast, it's views and natural beauty are breathtaking. In my experience, the locals are all lovely as well and everywhere you go you are well looked after.
I didn't realise how beautiful the place is. I really appreciated the scenery the bush walks are the best. I would suggest booking months in ahead of when you are planning to travel. Accommodation is expensive if you leave it to a late booking.
Mt Tamborine has some lovely waterfalls and lookouts. Accommodation is over-rated and over-priced for the facilities provided. St Bernard's Hotel is worth visiting for a meal as the view is spectacular. There are few artists in the "Gallery" and many eating places so its appeal has diminished since our last visit. North Tamborine has The Spice of Life Cafe and Elevation. Both provide quality food. Next visit we will choose our accommodation more carefully.
Mount Tamborine is a beautiful place the hotel we stayed is distance from the main area of town not walkable. Not all rooms have a view as described we were put in room on bottom floor opposite reception not good no view and noise people at reception outside our room. The bed was not very comfortable and blanket smelled like wet dog. Bathroom old and smelly also it was ok for one night but wouldn’t stay again.
We spent most of the time in our accommodation. We had a wonderful lunch - but that was at Burleigh - an hour away. I loved waking and walking around the neighbourhood, which was so peaceful and beautiful. The two op shops on Main St are fantastic and everyone loved them.
Tamborine Mountain
Beautiful surrounding area, including a tropical view of the backyard! It's the little touches; Spa bath inc bubbles for the bath, tea and coffee with mini fridge where you can store that bottle of wine you got from the surrounding binaries. Don't worry, there is wine glasses as well! Fantastic for a romantic night or two- No kids allowed - just the sound of the water cascading down the rocks in the river next to the hotel as you fall asleep.
Tamborine Mountain
Loved the slow combustion fireplace, large bath, beautiful outlook, very quiet, stunning grounds, great location not far from town and also close to a nice rain forest walk. We also struck perfect weather while we were there which added to the pleasure, but with the lovely setting and plenty of nice restaurants and other indoor things to do on the mountain, I'm sure we would have had a great time even if the weather was not so good.
Tamborine Mountain
The property is close to Tambourine Mountain in a quiet location set in beautiful gardens. Accommodation is very comfortable and the amount of sundry items and toiletry items provided is exceptional and far better than most other places, including top hotels, that we have stayed in. The owners, Helen & Peter, are exceptionally friendly and most helpful which makes you feel very welcome.
Tamborine Mountain
The room was incredibly comfortable and had EVERYTHING we needed for a self-contained stay. • The staff were amazing and are happy to help with anything you need! (including bandaids for hiking blisters lol) • The fresh breakfast every morning was beautiful and all locally sourced • The spa bath was unreal! • The cottages are close to everything that Mount Tamborine has to offer!
Tamborine Mountain
Beautiful place, good for young kids to run around in. Emma was also a great host ensuring we were safe and comfortable and provided personalised service. Place was very clean and I loved the personal touch with the hand picked flowers in both cabins. Weather was colder than I liked but heating was very good so I managed to stay warm, even through the night :)
Tamborine Mountain
The views, the sunrise, plenty of room, everything, we needed, the hosts were truly friendly not put on smarmy.it was like visiting some Friends we had not seen for a while. Plenty to do near by Skywalk, botanical garden, Clancy's Irish bar, st Bernards hotel gallery walk for the Artie's, lots of walks eg Curtis falls .
Tamborine Mountain
Very relaxing stay! The breakfast we had was great. We also booked an in room massage through the hotel and it was exceptional. The grounds were a little disappointing- but it looked as though they were having large areas landscaped so it will be nice to go back once this is complete.
Tamborine Mountain
This was a beautiful, boutique hotel nestled on Mt Tambourine. Loved the feel and amazing attention to detail in the room, including some avocados from the onsite orchard. The hotel is set on beautiful grounds and the owner was lovely! Highly recommend this place to anyone!!
Tamborine Mountain
Great location. Room was small but functional for 4. Lots of toiletries. Nice garden going down to the river. With kangaroos each evening. Walking paths in the forest opposite the Motel. and along to the center. Lots of toiletries. Tables to sit outside.
It was a lovely old hotel but comfortable & clean . We had a family room with bunks . It was great to have a restaurant attached for food & drinks . The breakfast was delicious & it had a great playground for the kids.
