Featuring 5 restaurants, a full service spa, and an indoor heated pool, this Kananakis lodge is within a 30-minute drive of Canmore city center. Clean, modern rooms and wonderful staff. The restaurant has many delicious options. A beautiful location to stay at! My dog loved it too.

Crosswaters Resort in Kananaskis Village features a tennis court, a fitness center and a bar. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with access to 4 restaurants and a pub.... Loved the room upgrade, wished we could’ve stayed longer. Such a beautiful location, nicely renovated room. And my dog enjoyed his stay too! Unfortunately I left an expensive water bottle behind, returned after our hike to see if housekeeping had found it but sadly, no. Turquoise corksicle 26 oz
Kananaskis Village
Offering a restaurant and bar on site, Mount Engadine Lodge is located in Spray Valley Provincial Park in Kananaskis. A scenic view of the mountains is available. Free WiFi access is provided. Mount Engadine Lodge is nothing short of exceptional. It is literally in the middle of nowhere where there is frequently no sound at all. The lodge is tasteful, which is a breath of fresh air in itself and food is top drawer. No prepackaged plastic muck here. Clientele are middle class adventure types, very polite and friendly. The staff, especially Andrew are incredibly kind and helpful. Engadine is tremendous value for money - I don't know how they do it. I just wish there were more places around like this!

Canmore (Near Kananaskis Village)
Located just off the Trans-Canada Highway in the community of Dead Man’s Flats, this motel is surrounded by the scenic Canadian Rocky Mountains. It features free Wi-Fi access. I booked on line and on website it said it was a pet friendly hotel for an extra fee. Which was perfect. I found out upon arrival that they do not allow pets it’s under new management now. I did show him that the site says they do and even in the book in each suite says they do. The manager did allow us to stay and allowed our dog in. ( she is small and quiet) I did appreciate that he honoured what was said and didn’t charge us the extra fee either. Also yo add. The rooms are not fancy at all. It’s in need of upgrades but the size of the suites were awesome. My bed was soooo comfortable.
I loved the Chalet look of the rooms in Mount Kidd. The kids swimming area is really for under 9 years of age. The steam room is super hot, benches are uncomfortablely hot wet stone. Hot tub is warm. Outdoor dry sauna is cool. the fitness room is great as is the table tennis. The restaurants are booked up fast, but take out is an option. They have Cross country ski and skate rentals. I personally would stay not stay again as we live only one hour away. The outdoor activities are amazing which is why we would in the future come for the day and evening only.
It was very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. Even though there was so much nature outside to explore we loved staying in our room with the fireplace and enjoying the view. We did get out and skate on the small rink in the centre of the village. The village is very romantic for couples but still perfect for families.
This was my 8th time staying at the Kananaskis Village and each time it gets better and better. We had a magical time and it was perfect for our Mom's 60th Birthday and Retirement celebrations. The most wonderful weekend ever!
My only complaint is waking up to all the room doors banging so early in the morning... Pls consider soft close room doors for your guest out here to relax ...it's very disturbing if you aren't getting up at that hour
Kananaskis Village is set in a spectacular area. Lots to do if you are an outdoor enthusiast. The food establishments are really very good. Something for everyone. The room we had was nice but needed a good scrubbing. The coffee in the room was the worst ever. I liked the staff very much, everyone was helpful and friendly.
Beautiful place, quiet and very private. We travelled at night though. It was too dark and the only help were the reflectors. I appreciate it is so to preserve fhe feel of wilderness and nature but at least there should be a lamp post on turning points.
