Restaurant, pool, the view of the lake, the gym, and the little hot spa room... trails going all around it really was a standout place, much more like a peaceful resort, but a brewery is attached!! Get a tour of the place... very eco-friendly yet has every amenity, plus did I mention beer?!

Breakfast was delicious-- enough delicious food for 2 people. The staff and service was great! The vibe is very Pura Vida. All spoke fairly good- very good English and were happy to help me learn more Spanish. Gama, the manager-- I can not say enough good things about him and how he welcomes and treats his guests, staff and locals. Gama is a kind, smart, helpful, great human being!!!!

I loved the location. The Grand Luna is located in a very peaceful part of the mountains in Monteverde. The hosts are very hospitable and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with great amenities. Great artwork on some of the walls too!

    Tilarán is such a beautiful town located in the mountains by Lake Arenal. It's charm lies in the fact that it's less touristy than the surrounding towns, so you are able to escape during your escape. It's a perfect location for lake activities/excursions and there are great places to stop for coffee or a meal. We stayed at Playa Tila and have nothing but great things to say about it! Check out the town and Playa Tila—you will be happy you did!

    Tilaran is a super nice and authentic local's town in the mountains directly by beautiful lake Arenal, less touristy than La Fortuna and Arenal. In "Tila" you'll find everything you need for your convenience: Local shops, supermarkets, a nice gym, etc. It's a great base for all kinds of excursions, i.e. around the lake (paddleboard, kayak, catamaran, jet ski, windsurfing, kite surfing...), bicycle tours in the mountains, yoga retreats, etc. Most fun place to stay in Tilaran: Playa Tila!

    The little hotel is close to the lake and you have a beautiful view on the water. The host Sergio is super nice and helpful. He gave us good advice for our trip. The breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel was very good. We got an upgrade to a comfort room which was great. We would recommend the comfort room. Thank you very much.

    This was our 4th visit to this great quirky little hotel. It is a convenient stop for us on our way to places like Monteverde, has a swimming pool, great food and beer, pretty views and they've even added a nice hiking trail. The rooms are basic but spacious and clean.
