We had some fresh fruit in our room. Afterwards I realized that there was a kitchen but we did not see it until we left. The room was comfortable. It felt a safe community, with adjacent playground and bus service, neither of which we needed.

We booked the Tunnel to attend Silverstone for 3 days for the British GP. It was tucked away in beautiful surroundings but close enough to make the trip daily. The Tunnel is stunning inside and out, the staff are amazing and cater for everything you would need. The views from the bedroom were spectacular we had a lovely weekend. What can I say about the wood burner fueled hot tub just what we needed after long days

The area close to the canal is quite nice but the city centre seemed tired with many closed shops . This may be due to a shopping centre opening on the outskirts & the well known businesses moving there.

We were surprised by how few pubs were serving food after...

We were surprised by how few pubs were serving food after 18.00. Luckily there was Wetherspoons for our evening meal and breakfast! Also, look out for Maxi Fresh Co, a delightful supermarket with very interesting food items!

Good road and rail connections.

Good road and rail connections. Plenty of bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Shopping area is pedestrianised. Nearby National Trust properties, we visited Upton House and the Motor Museum, both well worth it.

An ancient market town, full of fantastic buildings and architecture. Many places to eat and dine out. Why it needs the over population of foreign barbers shops and nail bars is questionable to say the least..

i genuinely loved it, although i am probably biased as i grew up here. i love the shops, market, restaurants and cafes. it is close to bourton on the water, chipping norton, stratford upon avon and many places of interest

Banbury is a lovely town, old enough to have a lot of...

Banbury is a lovely town, old enough to have a lot of character, large enough to have an excellent range of facilities. We were fortunate to be there when there was an excellent festival down by the canal (and the best value cheese we've ever had). St Mary's Church is beautiful and well worth a visit (and a donation - these places are special but expensive to maintain). We look forward to future visits.

Spent one night with family, hotel is very clean and has everything you need for a short stay. Double beds did seem small so perhaps they are small doubles? Hotel decor is dated and a lot of areas need updating for sure, however it was clean. Garden area quite nice but again could do with some attention. Staff were exceptional especially Phoebe, she definitely went above & beyond, do hope she can be recognised for her outstanding service from checking us in to serving us in the bar & restaurant, thank you Phoebe.

Great location in Banbury and close to a lovely Italian restaurant (La Foglia) that we've visited before. First time at Whately Hall and it didn't disappoint. We had a lovely large room in the old part of this historic hotel. Room was clean, as was ensuite. Breakfast choice was good and staff were friendly.

It was a lovely little hotel/guesthouse with great pub and restaurant combined. When in the area again, will definitely chose to stay there. Breakfast (included) was first class, hoping next time I stay, that English marmalade is available !!.
