Less than 20 minutes’ drive from Doncaster, this converted barn dates back to the 18th century and has a private garden and tranquil surroundings. Everything about Home Farm & Lodge. From a friendly welcome when we arrived to the room and facilities. It was better than expected and look forward to staying again soon xx
Featuring a garden and a bar, Rossington Hall is located in Doncaster, 11 mi from Cusworth Hall. Wow, this place well exceeded our expectations. It was perfect. The mansion is just so beautifully decorated, completely taking you back in time. It is cosy and comfy. The staff particularly Brian the manager just couldn't do enough for you. We felt so welcomed and at home. The food was delicious. We had a 4 course meal and the full vegetarian breakfast. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to family and friends.

Located in Doncaster, just 9.3 mi from Cusworth Hall, Dean House - Perfect place for business or leisure traveling provides accommodations with water sports facilities, a terrace and free WiFi. Excellent quiet location, well kept property, clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Small and interesting town with historical interest. We stayed in the Crown Hotel - an old venue which has been modernised. The bar was open late which was good as we returned from a party and fancied a night cap. Parking in the town overnight is expensive,
The hotel is nice and modern with comfortable rooms. The food was really nice although it is a bit overpriced. The cheapest thing on the menu is £15 for either a salad or a ciabatta. The rooms are lovely just a shame about the mattress as they are memory foam and far too soft and not comfortable when you move around. Doesn’t support the back.
The town was very busy. It had plenty of atmosphere and there wasn't a shortage of bars and restaurants. We enjoyed eating at the China Rose restaurant where the food was excellent. The only problem we encountered was the struggle to get a taxi as the Doncaster Races were on and this made it particularly difficult, which we didn't envisage.
Busy little town with lots individual shops and cafes etc all providing for casual customer or locals.tribute evening at the Chinese restaurant top act and food quite good and plentiful with some nice places for a pre drink or after meal refreshment.Good for any age group.
Really good and it’s getting better we visit 2/3a year for the past 10 years so we see the difference and enjoy the shopping and bars but disappointed with our stay in the crown hotel felt it was overpriced for what we paid.
Mayflower Eatery (where we stayed) is in Austerfield which is outside of Bawtrey (car ride). There is little else in Austerfield but it is a pleasant area. Bawtry seemed very nice place with plenty of restaurant & pubs to choose from. Very nice people in both locations.
