Callington
Located in central Callington, this hotel is a 20-minute drive from the center of Plymouth and within walking distance of different shops, restaurants and pubs. The Chantry is in a perfect location in the centre of Callington. The local shops are close by. We had the loft room which was spacious and nicely decorated. The host Lindsey was very nice and friendly. He provided a generous breakfast to our room at the time we requested. Parking was allowed from 6pm to 9am outside The Chantry but during the day you could park further up the road - visible from The Chantry. We would highly recommend staying at The Chantry.

The Studio is located in Callington. Guests have a private terrace. This apartment comes with a seating area, a kitchenette with a microwave, and a flat-screen TV. Tracy was amazing, she helped by offering lots of great ideas, advice on the area, things to do. Breakfast was amazing and plenty of it. Homemade jam was gorgeous. Information provided at the studio was a huge help, but Tracy was on hand if I needed anything. Great stay even with Storm Dennis.

I thought the peaceful sorroundings were just what we needed. Great base to visit other attractions. Hot tub and pools were perfect. Food at the Manor House was great value and very tasty.. would deffo come back... the boys aged 7,6 and 2 loved every aspect... consideration should be made to pedestrianised areas as we could not really ‘switch off’ when we were walking from our accommodation.. some people do not abide to the 5 mph limit!!!! Also a soft play area would be perfect... in inclement weather this would be a great addition.. overall fantastic trip...
We found Mugberry cottage to be first class accommodation and spotlessly clean. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our hosts were polite and very helpful. From the well establish gardens there are panoramic views across the hills and valleys. We had a memorable stay here. It was wonderful.
Loved the elegance and the atmosphere of the place. The walk down to the little lakes past the enchanting highland cow calves. Breakfast was amazing in the beautiful dinning room. Food was perfectly cooked and tasty fresh fruit. Bed was sooo comfy could have stayed in there all day! I was staying at Cadson Manor Farm as I was visiting Polilsa Retreat .
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Polhilsa Farm. A great location for anyone undertaking courses at Duchy College, which is just a couple of miles down the road. The room (number 4) was lovely and spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kay was a fab and friendly host. Breakfast was served promptly each morning at a pre-agreed time the day before and there was a great selection on offer. If you enjoy looking at the stars this is a perfect location as there is no light pollution at all! Would highly recommend to others staying in the area and would definitely stay here again.
An extremely friendly town , all the shops , eateries, pubs, cafe's takeaways , unusual shops too. market day the 1st Sunday of each month. The town hall has clubs, coffee mornings , bingo so many activities within the churches too. There is a local theatre which along with regular performances host cinema days for a few pounds !! The public lavatories are spotless and two large carparks if the high street is full. There is a post office and fresh butcher and 'Subway' ,within the local 'Spar' which is open everyday until 11pm . Callington has so much to offer packed within a few streets and little side walks. I adore it and with the added bonus of being just 20mins drive to 'Looe beach and harbour' I also found a gorgeous beach just before called 'Millandreth' . 'Louis tearooms' ( 5 mins drive) at Kithill is definitely worth a visit at Kithill which is a fab very high beauty spot for a view, walk and maybe exercise your dog.
We only stayed one night, as visiting a relative in a nearby village, so hard to write a honest and open report of Callington. We did walk to the Carpenters Arms, very friendly local pub, don't look for gastro but honesty is in abundance.
