We'd asked for a ground floor room, which we got. The room was away from the pub, lovely and quiet. Room was modern and clean. Great 🚿. Would stay again.

Everything was top notch: the location, the friendly staff and the comfortable rooms. Breakfast was great. The swimming pool and sauna at the associated Barnstaple Hotel was clean and just a short walk by the river to get to.

The only observation is that the annex or Garden area has no elevator (Lift) the main hotel block does. So if booking specify if you need an elevator. Hauling luggage upstairs at 80 years old is not my joy anymore. The hotel will provide staff to help with luggage but 20+ steps could be a deal breaker

Very friendly owner and staff. Location was great for the purpose of the visit and access to town. Breakfast was excellent. I was able to use the car park which has a few spaces available.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Shoutout to Rachel who went above and beyond. Loved the bath and the view. The lobby was really nice.
