The quaintness of the inn. Restaurant/bar available downstairs. Breakfast comes in a basket the night before. Nice bathroom. Close to bus stop, small grocery, Pooh corner and Ashdown forest. Staff was great.

As we pulled up plenty of parking. Hotel screened from road by hedges and walls so felt very private. Checked in and was informed we had been upgraded to an indulgence suite which was absolutely fabulous. Staff very friendly professional and helpful. Also very well presented. Facilities were excellent with use of fitness and well being suites. The restaurant staff again really friendly and helpful and immaculately turned out. Food was again excellent and very well presented.

I liked the location. There was a field out side the room with a number of pheasants going through the matting rituals. The dinning room is quaint with decor dating back a while. The food was excellent.

Everything- it was wonderful! Fabulous bath and amenities, very fast wifi, amazing little coffee and tea setup, great parking, wonderful staff, would go out of my way to stay here again. Close to Hever castle, Lovely local pubs, historic church right next to it you can go into.

Spectacular landscape views, there are cute small walks accessible from the property. Delicious cocktails and the chef clearly puts in special effort, the food was excellent. The included breakfast on the balcony was delightful. She we had places to go, we would have loved to stay longer.

Location was perfect for us. Quiet, relaxed, and yet only five minutes drive from Cowden train station into London which was perfect. (Cowden also offers free all day train station parking...a definite plus!)
