The location was perfect, every single member of the staff was helpful and friendly (ask Annie where to eat!) and the place itself is beautiful. That it’s been in the family almost 50 years is palpable. I felt that I was visiting cousins I’d never met. The heater in the bathroom meant your bath towel (and underwear…) was always dry in time. Breakfast kept you going all day. Plenty of gorgeous walks right outside your door. And the VIEWS!

The staff throughout were some of the most friendly, helpful professionals I’ve experienced in a hotel and I’ve travelled extensively for years. The breakfast was wonderful; very tasty and what views of the harbour. The bar downstairs again excellent food, well made and served drinks and the view was amazing. Reception couldn’t be better and please relay my appreciation to them. Many thing we liked but great that so many visitors were allowed to bring their dog into the hotel.

The location was perfect, with a bus stop literally directly out front. The room was very cozy and neat, and the bathroom was clean. There was a breakfast bag every morning, which had a very good breakfast inside to start off the day. Overall, an excellent stay!
