Roch is quaint quiet,, small, winding country roads, 8 minutes drive to Newgale beach, near a very old castle (now hotel). We really like visiting the local beaches, but found getting over the hughe amount of pebbles on Newgale Beach a bit daunting. Broad Haven beach was lovely. We loved visiting Solva and made the trip to St David's only to be a bit disappointed we couldn't go inside the cathedral, due to new opening times. We did however have a lovely meal in St David's at The Bishops. Driving around the area was very harrowing at times with the very narrow lanes which in some cases you had to go down to visit. I find it to be a perfect base for going out to different areas of the coastline. Within the village, about a gram minutes walk you will find Roch Castle. The town of Haverfordwest is just a story drive away with all the ships and adventure you would expect to find.
