Lovely old style building with cozy comfy rooms. Coffee and tea facilities plus water provided. Also wifi is very good even in the rooms across the courtyard. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Stayed twice now and will stay again when next in the area.

The barn is super cosy and has everything you need for a short stay in comfortable accommodation, it’s well designed with great facilities and homely touches. It’s secluded and private but set in a great location for access to many areas of natural beauty. The hosts are extremely accommodating and couldn’t do more to make your stay comfortable. The dog friendly facilities are safe and secure and is a home from home.

The house was spacious, bright and comfortable. Everything was very clean, we slept well and the log fire was a great addition. The owners were so helpful and obliging, will book the house again next time we're in the area.

The overal impression of the hotel after our stay was that...

The overal impression of the hotel after our stay was that it needed more staff, although the staff there were outstanding. The overall condition of the room was good apart from the bathroom which was in need of attention, also the water pressure for the shower was almost non existant. We didnt have a meal there apart from breakfast as on the day we arrived they were not serving food,so we went over the road to the other pub and ate there for our time in Scole. The location and the magnificent old building is the most notable thing about this hotel .

I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance.

I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance. I liked the friendly staff. Excellent food and good choice at all meals. If I could change anything it would be a walk in shower in my room and I would have also liked an arm chair. There was space for one. Transport size there is an infrequent bus to take you in to Diss but in my humble opinion there is a lack of available taxi cabs to take you to the train Station. I did not ask reception as I have taxi numbers in my phone so may have missed out. I am sure they have the same problem finding a taxi though. Those of us living in places with a good transport system find this an issue. Overall I liked Scope inn very much. I would recommend it to my friends especially those with a Car.

Arrived Bank hol August.

Arrived Bank hol August. The road leading to the Inn, had encountered 2 deaths of cyclist. Road closed , as Police informed bodies were still on the road. Sincere condolences to their families & victims RIP. https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2023-08-29/man-arrested-as-two-e-bike-cyclists-killed-in-crash

Large village outside Diss, midway between Ipswich and...

Large village outside Diss, midway between Ipswich and Norwich, convenient for visiting Norfolk and Suffolk and coastal towns. Went there for a wedding at little green wedding bard which was a10 minute trip. Went out for a meal and the thatchers needle in Diss which again was about 10 minutes away. Lovely pub/ restaurant which has a great choice of meals, the car very was one of the best I have had in a long time whith plenty of meat rather than the two or three slices you get at a lot of places.lovely eating area outside if the weather is good or large eating area inside if needed. Staff were helpful and attentive, would recommend for anyone staying in the area.

The history of the building and the "quirkiness" are...

The history of the building and the "quirkiness" are extremely interesting. It is like staying in a piece of history. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and it really does feel more like staying at someone's house as opposed to a hotel.

The room was comfortable. Water hot. Found shower controls difficult to manage at first. It's best not to touch the right side of the bar. Just turn on with the left-hand side. Otherwise, water boiling hot and unable to turn down. We were given the small fridge for special dietary requirements in our room which was so helpful... There is a microwave and cutlery and plates in the hallway. Not a normal bnb. Back rooms away from road quieter. Hotel in the middle of nowhere. Staff very freindly and do their best to make your stay pleasant.

Reception and Bar staff extremly helpful. Also not to mention chef as well. We had made an assumption, based on the establishment being a hotel that Kitchen would not close - so we arrived pretty much 'too-late' for food, however they really did help to resolve the issue
