Set in Southwell, 11 mi from Nottingham, Long Barn Guest Accommodations features free WiFi access and free private parking. We had a lovely stay, we were going to a wedding so we weren’t able to make full use of this beautiful little B and B. The location is great and a few lovely little walks in the doorstep. The shower was just what I needed in the morning after partying all day, it was very powerful and warm. Holly and Bella the dog were very welcoming and made us a lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend.

Located in Southwell, near Southwell Minster, Southwell Retreat Glamping Pods has a terrace. Firstly It was perfect as it was situated about half hour drive from centre parcs where we had spent the day. It was very well equipped, It was warm, clean and cosy. Myself and two friends booked it to celebrate a birthday. Lindsey the owner even trimmed up for us!!! Everything had been thought of. This place is a little gem .
Lots to see and do - in a small east to get a round town. A beautiful Minster. Walking distance from accommodation, good places to eat. Do a bit of research before you go to find out what there is - as it is a very interesting place.
If you haven't visited Southwell before, it should be on your hit list. They are like everyone affected by the current pandemic but remain cheery and welcoming. The Minister holds a special atmosphere that you just must experience. The Final Whilst pub is unique and again with friendly staff and great atmosphere, is certainly worth a visit. There is a lovely garden centre Reg's just passed the Final Whistle through which you can visit the Swan Sanctuary - another lovely place to see.
Fantastic Pubs and places to eat, especially the Old Theatre Deli, where the food was outstanding. The fresh produce they use definitely shows in quality. Cake on the Lake was good too and I would imagine is spectacular on a beautiful summers day.
Lovely town, stayed there after a dinner at the races. Very disappointed there wasn’t a taxi service in Southwell. The quote we got from one company was £20 each way! Because they were coming from Newark, to take us just 2 miles up the road! So we didn’t bother and drove ourselves which spoilt the whole evening really as I couldn’t have a drink!
Southwell is a gem with its magnificent Norman Minster, its unique NT Workhouse, its characterful shops and beautiful surrounding countryside. With good pubs and eating places Southwell is an ideal place for a weekend break.
Lovely area, with a beautiful cathedral to visit and a good selection of local pubs and shops. Close to the city and public transport available to get you there and back if you are planning a night out.
Lovely breakfast. Very COVID aware and set up well
