The Best Western Rose & Crown Hotel is an old English coaching Inn, set in the heart of Tonbridge. Very central to a lovely country area. Enjoyed a trip down the river Medway, the Castle Tour was great and I found relatives graves in the lovely Thomas a Becket churchyard at Capel which was very exciting.
Located in Tonbridge, Kent region, DOUBLE ROOM with SHOWER and KITCHEN is located 1.1 mi from Tonbridge Castle. The room had everything! From iron and ironing board to cooking facilities and fridge; from toiletries and milk to desk and hair drier (not that I needed that!) - it was like a tiny self-contained bedsit and was just what I needed.
The Studio at Hillsway is located in Tonbridge. Featuring complimentary private parking, the holiday home is 1.8 mi from Tonbridge Castle. The holiday home features a TV. Easy to find and has its own entrance so no problem with coming in late etc. Had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean.
Set in Royal Tunbridge Wells in the Kent region, Glamping at Honnington Farm has a garden. The property is 28 mi from Eastbourne, and complimentary private parking is offered. Fantastic glamping pod, Emily was fantastic and the pod was brilliant. We was a family of 3 with a small dog (Toy Poodle). The marquee with the games was brilliant and the kids loved going up there to play. Overall a 5* experience which we will be booking again.
I lived in Tonbridge for 25 years so I am familiar with the town and somewhat biased! My trip was a long weekend to catch up with friends I have been unable to see for two years. The High Street has many pubs, restaurants and other places to eat. The castle ruin is an historic 11th century site beside the river. Tonbridge benefits from a huge green space (Tonbridge Sports ground) ideal for walks by the river and further. Out of town are more historic buildings and sattely homes than one can expect. The town's railway station is in the centre of town so it's easily accessible without a car.
tonbridge is a small town few decent shops and bars tonbridge wells it more busier only 4 miles away its definetly worth visiting the only problem is traffic never seen so much traffic and had to use arriva buses they must be the worst bus company ive used in 20 yerrs
We just wanted to have a change of scenery and Tonbridge has a few nice feature that can be explored in a short stay. The castle ruins are very picturesque and it hosts numerous events during the year. The shopping is okay, not great. But the river is nice to walk along and there are a few nice bars and restaurants.
Being somewhere i lived for many years, the history and surrounding areas are worth a visit. Tonbridge is a good place to base yourself, although the hotels are a little pricey compared to other towns.
The staff were so kind and friendly. Room excellet- very clean and tidy. Tonbridge is a very walkable town. The castle is lovely. Great walks around the sports ground. Ate across the road at the Turkish Havat - really good.
Tonbridge is a lovely town. A visit to the castle is a worth a visit. We ate at The Bakehouse at 124 where we received a lovely welcome. Our food was freshly prepared and very tasty. They also have a varied menu too. You can also visit a few other destinations with Tonbridge as your base.
The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a lovely location.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location!
