After reading reviews I was worried about staying but we had a lovely time! This place is a beautiful old building but comes with the problems of an old building, if you’re used to new built chain hotels this place is very different but full of character.
Staff were all very pleasant, room was spacious and we enjoyed the novelty of having stairs in our room up to our bedroom. bathroom was nice.
good choice for the price at breakfast.
lovely gardens (though could do with a bit of weeding)

Object of our visit was to go to Warwick Castle. Great place for a day out and especially good for families. There were plenty of activities and lots of shows, so felt this was a good value day out. The Birds of Prey show was absolutely incredible - worth going for that alone. We saw the first show of the day and then went back to see it again. We went to a medieval banquet in the evening. Great atmosphere but could not be described as a banquet and was therefore overpriced. The previous evening we had a meal in The Tilted Wig, which we highly recommend.

Have visited Warwick and Leamington Spa on previous occasions, but for a specific get together, not to explore the City more closely. Jury St and teh Market Place are interesting and worthy of closer attention. Perhaps another time we can make a week of it.

5nts in Warwick allowed us to see all on offer and do a day trip to Stratford upon Avon (by train) too. Warwick Castle (expensive but definitely worth paying for), Lord Leycester (medievil buildings), St Mary's church and the Royal Warwick Fusiliers museum. we enjoyed Charlecote Park (visited by bus) which is the home of the Lucy family and has beautiful parkland.
There are lots of restaurants/pubs in Warwick with Giggling Squid (Thai), and Piccolinos (Italian) jumping out. We also had a drink and something to eat in the Black Pug, which has a lovely garden area. For a wonderful scone or full afternoon tea visit the Thomas Oakeham Tea Rooms right near the castle (includes gluton free).
If travelling by train note that there are 2 railway stations for Warwick, Warwick WRW and Warwick Parkway WRP, make sure to know which one you need to get off at. WRW is in Warwick itself.

Plenty to do even if the castle is not visited.
Plenty to do even if the castle is not visited. St Nicholas Park, St Mary’s church tower has fabulous views, some lovely Victorian gardens, interesting shops and eating places. Plenty more if we had stayed longer.

Took a boat out on the Avon for the best view of the Castle in town. The Mill Garden is also a must do for views of the river and castle. The Lord Leycester is also a wonderful place to see. Was a perfect place to spend a sunny day.

A lovely little town with lots of restaurants and, of course, the castle.
Many interesting places to visit in the area. Lots of National Trust properties within striking distance. Stratford just down the road.
Me, my husband and son stayed here to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. We had a lovely room and breakfast included in the price. The room was spacious and we had a huge bed and a big sofa bed. The beds were very cosy. The bathroom was decorated nicely. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.
The hotel is in an ideal location for the destinations we visited. We went to Cadbury World and Warwick Castle and visited a friend in Lemington Spa. All places are minutes away from the hotel.
Friendly hosts who made us both feel welcome from the start. This b and b is a short walk from the main town where pubs and restaurants can be found in plentiful number.
Ample parking available on site to the rear of the b and b via a rear access. Breakfast very good. A good base from which to explore Warwick, the castle and the wider area of Warwickshire as well.
Good location for exploring parts of Warwickshire and visiting friends. Evening meals excellent quality. Staff particularly helpful when found that hair straighteners had been left at the property by mistake. Ample car parking. Room very accessible. Comfortable lounge area was an added extra when meeting friends.
I’ve stayed here many times as I have family nearby so this hotel is very convenient. We had a family party for Christmas at my relative’s house in Warwick and 12 members of the family stayed at the Holiday inn express. So proximity and Parking facilities are why we chose where to stay.
