The hotel is situated near a metro line. It's also not too far from the highway. There's one P+R really close by and one relatively close by (you can get to the hotel by using metro). However, there's also parking in the hotel itself. The room itself was clean. There's air-conditioning, a safe, some space for storing your stuff. The bed was great and comfy. Although the room was looking at the street, it was quiet during the night. In my opinion, the hotel is perfect for solo travelers or if you intend to spend a couple of days in Budapest. No major qualms.

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.

Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

    Budapest is very historic and its architecture is amazing. There are several homeless people lying on the streets of the Pest section and the streets are very dirty. It seems that the section of Buda is in better kept.

    A must visit to a beautiful charming city especially at night along the river. Lots of good eats, exceptional coffee at Meron, exceptional food and service at Hachapuri, Baalbek, Fleischer, Matarello . Free rides in metro and cable cars for 65 and + seniors. The architecture of the city is breathtaking filled with history. Costs of living and food are very affordable. Take all city tours through Guru city tours, these are exceptional passionate individuals who will give you enjoyable history, introduction to sights and buildings and attractions. Tip them well and fairly. Try Hungarian wines, look up wine tasting, ask for wines from the Tocai regions as well.

    AAMAZING CITY, worth the visit. i think its a place to either go for 3-4 days, or stay a couple of months to work remotely, or write or work on your art-. it's such an inspiring and beauitful city, the food is great, everything is beautiul, i loved it and will come back

    Liked the fact that almost every one could speak English people were friendly and helpful . Beautiful city with plenty of attractions easy hop on hop off bus system . Things I didn’t like- dogs urinating everywhere - rubbish & cigaret butts all over the place.

    Budapest is a wonderful city. People are nice, almost everyone speaks a second and third language. The food is good, many historical things to see. Go and visit Budapest and Hungary, you will see it is really great!

    We stayed for 4 days and it was my fifth visit and I still haven’t seen all the sights. I found it very expensive to eat out and buy souvenirs this time. Not sure how the locals survive. Budapest is a beautiful city although is looking a little rundown compared to its close neighbour Vienna. Many buildings are dirty and need restoration and cleaning to highlight how wonderful they truly are. We had a walking tour and walked around ourselves. The trams are cheap and easy to navigate.

It was a last minute booking due to flight cancellation and it was a welcome relief after being stuck in Budapest airport. Clean, spacious room. We were able to check in early and luggage storage was available. Location is great to get to city centre, as well as airport.

    Everything! The Mystery Hotel was a joy to stay in from start to finish. The staff were brilliant and took very good care of us, nothing was too much hassle for them. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the local sparkling wine! The room itself was pretty much perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Great location for all of Budapest city centre too.
