A must visit to a beautiful charming city especially at night along the river. Lots of good eats, exceptional coffee at Meron, exceptional food and service at Hachapuri, Baalbek, Fleischer, Matarello . Free rides in metro and cable cars for 65 and + seniors. The architecture of the city is breathtaking filled with history. Costs of living and food are very affordable. Take all city tours through Guru city tours, these are exceptional passionate individuals who will give you enjoyable history, introduction to sights and buildings and attractions. We stayed for 4 days and it was my fifth visit and I still haven’t seen all the sights. I found it very expensive to eat out and buy souvenirs this time. Not sure how the locals survive. Budapest is a beautiful city although is looking a little rundown compared to its close neighbour Vienna. Many buildings are dirty and need restoration and cleaning to highlight how wonderful they truly are. We had a walking tour and walked around ourselves.
