The location is stunning with the beach in one direction and the volcano in the distance. The buffet was an incredible opportunity to enjoy all kinds of homemade traditional cuisine. The staff was lovely, helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces, collection of whale bones, library of Icelandic art books and a lounge with board games, like cards and hand-carved Icelandic chess.

Very clean and offers a really nice included breakfast! The staff was simply wonderful! I was quite ill when I arrived and asked if I might be able to check in early so I could lay down. The staff graciously accommodated my request and hurried off to make sure my room was ready for me!! (Thank you once again to the folks at Kast Guesthouse!!!) I would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable & clean place to stay on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula :)

This is a charming little hotel in a beautiful, remote location. The room was small but very comfortable and the common areas were impeccably designed. The dinner and breakfast were both incredible and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located near the harbor in a quiet place. The room is pretty old but clean. Comfortable beds. Overall, it's acceptable accomodation for a one-night stay. Great communication with the staff.

Old carpet and food smell in the hallway but the room was great. Space for luggage, comfortable bed, clean laminate floors made for a very pleasant stay. Nice to have a good restaurant right around the corner, too.

The hotel is in a good location. It's a very quick walk to the grocery or to get coffee. The staff/hostess was very friendly and allowed us to check in early. There is a nice shared kitchen area.
