Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. Better location than Capri or Positano as more reasonable and right level of energy. Good road and sea transfer to places like Ravello and Pompeii. Both worth a visit. Magical place right in the middle of 2 great places to visit. Rent a scooter and visit the coast. Dont be afraid there is just to much to see. It's 3 Km from Amalfi city center but there is a bus that takes you to amalfi city center, the bus stop is just 30 meters from the house.
