Our stay was absolute perfection-from the welcome with Prosecco and snacks on the pool patio, to amazing dinners, gorgeous grounds, and a breakfast offering that was not only delicious, but also a work of art-our stay could not have been better!! I will also mention that the pannecotta dessert is the best dessert I have ever had! Every recommendation from the owner was just incredible-including the pistachio pasta. If you can-you must stay!!!

I ate at La Grotta and Tonnini, both excellent. I love the museums and the lovely long park with a stunning view. One of my favorite hill towns. It is steep in places, but worth the effort. Great shopping also. I have stayed many times and still love it.

I think Cortona lacks out door eating and calling cafes ....
I think Cortona lacks out door eating and calling cafes ....mind you I did visit in January but other cities have outdoor heaters so that visitors or even locals can enjoy sitting out on clear sunny but cold days. Not much option if any if you are wanting to eat between 3 and 8pm ... but finding most places in Italy in the small historical towns are the same. So make sure you either have a late breakfast or stop in time to get some lunch in! :)))

Cortona is just amazing!
Cortona is just amazing! It's what you can dream of an holiday in Tuscany. moreover is very strategic as it's close to everything: Florence, Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, Val D'orcia. It's just perfect
This is hands down one of the best hotel experiences you can have in Italy, we spent 3 weeks in Italy and stayed in 10 hotels, this is by far the best! The hotel facilities/location/quality is all second to none. The staff are very welcoming and do all they can to make the stay special. Breakfast is like nothing else, you should call it high team what an unbelievable experience a real 5* stay, we will be back with out question
Wonderful hotel, exceptionally well manicured grounds, very friendly and attentive staff (we were served at breakfast and dinner by Davide who is absolutely awesome), excellent restaurant. We had a very good dinner there, and breakfast each day was up there with the best I’ve had at any hotel. Very good location to go into local towns - Cortona in particular is worth a visit. Lots of good restaurants, bars etc.
Place is amazing, beautifully restored in tuscany style, confortable, very nice small kitchen. The breakfast is the best we had in Italy, the lady from hotel staff very kind and prepared everything fresh with local products. It was an amazing experience in Tuscany, everything you expect from an experience there.
Wonderful, clean and sunny apartment, right next to the central square. We‘ve been there with our 8 month old child and had the best 4 day stay that we could have wished for. Rosa, the owner, was such a welcoming and friendly woman, that on the last day we decided, to definitely come again to Cortona.
For the room, the location, having access to a pool and their warm hospitality you cannot fault this place. The breakfast selection was also one the of the best we have come across in Italy. A great option if you are visiting Cortona and want a mixture of relaxation and exploring the town.
