Hidden gem in Narni. If you're between making a day trip and staying over night - don't hesitate to stay overnight and make sure to book this accommodation. The owner is insanely attentive, running thousand extra miles to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Location is perfect, within the old city, but just next to the lift that connects you with a big public parking lot a few levels below. Address is a double win - within the old town, but just next to the old city gate. This way, you benefit from a medieval atmosphere around, and you can enjoy epic views that you wouldn't get otherwise (Narni's old town has dense medieval architecture, so most buildings face.. other buildings). A few very good restaurants in a 5 minute walking distance. I was also positively surprised about the quality of the room/bathroom - no strange smells from pipes (super common problem in buildings that old), fast internet, multiple pillows to choose from etc. Despite it is a historical building, and we were visiting in the beginning of March, the place was nice, cozy, and warm. I'm allergic to dust, but no problems on that front neither. Kudos for all efforts put into organizing and maintaining place at such a high standard!

Fantastic location, with a beautiful view of Narni (the last few meters are on a gravel road). Spotlessly clean, large and very practical apartment. Phenomenal welcome by Maurizio. Choice of sweet or savoury breakfast (served on the balcony as we requested), and the breakfast was quite varied (we were here for 6 nights). It is a wonderful central place to stay for a while within reach of some phenomenal visits (Narni, Orvieto, Assisi, Montefalco, Todi, ...). Maurizio was a wonderful host, very attentive and thoughtful, with good advice. We loved it here, and will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

You can walk up to the old town, although I only walked down...

You can walk up to the old town, although I only walked down because Google Maps only showed a route up the main road, which looked very busy and unsuitable for walking. I advise checking the bus times as they don’t seem to be that frequent. Once you’re in the old town, there’s plenty to see. I did the Narni Underground tour. It was in Italian, but I had a folder of notes to read so I was able to follow the gist of what the guide said. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Torre Palombara was perfection. The hotel had breathtaking views, delicious breakfast prepared by Natalia, a huge swimming pool with plenty of space to sit in shade or sun and the most incredible host, Leonardo, whose passion and knowledge of the region is second to none. He was incredibly accommodating; providing restaurant tips, wine recommendations, making bookings and just generally being on hand if we had any questions. He couldn’t have done any more to make us feel at home.

The property has been beautifully restored, with a lot of attention to detail. The swimming pool is great and literally located 2 meters outside our lovely apartment. Very peaceful and safe for children. The kids had a great time with all the farm animals ( inc puppies and kittens!). Breakfast is served poolside, with a great view of the hills and Narni. Definitely highly recommended!

Very quiet location, nice pool and lounge areas. Close to Narni, where you can easily shop or find a restaurant. Close to Rome, ideal for a day trip with the car. Leonardo, the host, was responsive in dealing with some unexpected technical issues.
