Some of the best hotels in Piazza Armerina near Villa Romana del Casale include Villa Clementine, Agriturismo Trinacria Pool&Rooms and B&B L'Angelica.
Our accommodation was great at Villa Trigona. The Roman mosaics absolutely marvellous best in the world. Roads though are terrible lots of one way systems and pot holes but hey it's Sicily and you have to go with the flow. Because of the bad roads we ate at our hotel which was a good choice as the set menu was wonderful with free wine.
The old part of town near the cathedral where we stayed in Piazza Armerina is in transition. Much of the old heart is abandoned and for sale, and even the churches are empty and have been stripped of all stucco and marble, as part of the one-euro plan to renovate the town. This is an interesting project that has worked for a number of old towns in Italy already and the staff at our hotel is optimistic that it will work for Piazza Armerina. The town certainly has potential.
Nice Greco-Roman era town. An ancient fabulous Roman Villa is not far away. Note: Be very careful traveling into the old city as the roads are very very narrow and hard to navigate out. Do not bring anything but a compact car into the town.
We didn't go to the town itself, but the mosaics at the roman villa are utterly exceptional. There is nothing like them -- they extend over literally dozens of rooms -- in the world. Saved for posterity by being buried for centuries under the dry soil of Sicily.
Surprisingly interesting town for its size. Very tricky geography at first, as it is spread out and highly contoured, but one gets used to it. The historic centre, however, is compact and walkable (and pleasant!). The Villa Romane, 4km away, is a major site; it claims the best Roman mosaics anywhere, and I certainly wouldn't argue. Lots of good eating options.
Villa Romana de Castello mosaics were amazing. There is no bus after September, so we took a taxi in one directionfor 15€ and walked back (1 hour). Villa Romana was very busy, but the town on Piazza is quiet. We enjoyed an exhibition of old books in the Jesuit college, and the rustic museum of Contadin with fascinating explanations by the owner Mario.
Piazza Armerina
This hotel villa was awesome. The rooms were cozy, very nice eating area with a morning buffet with a protein (eggs) for us Americans. In the evening we had a seems like a 7-course meal. More than we could consume. Communicate well with the staff to make sure you know what you are getting. The staff was very accommodating. This B&B is on a hill with beautiful views over the town. They have a very nice pool and I'm sure it will be packed during the tourist season. We went in May when there are not that many tourists. Parking was easy.
Piazza Armerina
Perfect location snd great support from proprietor Morgan to guide us to safe and legal parking. Super breakfast and loved the caffe Americano in a big pot - good for refills. Our room was just right although our friends booked the apartment off garden snd we did enjoy their sitting room for socializing. One the other hand, I think our bathroom had more counter space. Decor is beautiful! perfect two night stay for leisurely visit to Villa Romana and easy morning drive next day to Agrigento and the. beyond. We liked piazza Armerina also!
Piazza Armerina
Very charming flat in the centre of Piazza Armerina. The host gave us the indications to reach the location in the best way with the car, since some streets are very narrow and it was a great help. He also gave us some suggestions where to park and we found a spot without any problem where he told us! He also gave us some recommendations about restaurants and the best bakery in town to make our stay even more perfect! I totally recommend staying here!!
Piazza Armerina
Very good location, round the corner is the cathedral and lots of nice restaurants nearby. Kimera is full of arts , love the decorations. The room is so spacious and bed is comfy. Wifi is good. Breakfast is good enough with Sicilian cakes. Park the car right outside the B&B. Lots of parking space. The host Rita is very kind and treat the guests very well. If I come back Piazza Armerina, must stay in this B&B again. Highly recommended.

The hosts at Xenia were very nice to us and understanding with some emergency we had upon arrival with our car. The apartment is located in the Main Street of Piazza Armerina in a very charming renovated building. The room was very spacious and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the street. The bathroom is renovated and very nice. Everything was very clean and comfy and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again and longer.

La Casa Sulla Collina d’Oro is a little rustic and may not be for everyone. But it was perfect for us. Luciano was a wonderful host - charming, attentive and very helpful. The view over the town of Piazza Armerina was lovely. Breakfast included a wide selection and was served around large tables with a beautiful view. The accommodation was well located, close to town and just a short drive to Villa Casale. I can highly recommend.
Piazza Armerina
The hosts were amazing ! They treated us like a family. The villa is located in an excellent location closer to all the nice restaurants and city Center. The parking is inside the villa and has abundance space. The breakfast was home made. I especially loved the homemade Orange and lemon Jam. We had a good chat in the evening and was fun. Overall an excellent choice if you visit Piazza armerina.
Piazza Armerina
The space was very clean with everything we could have wanted. The view from the room looking out on Piazza Armerina was extraordinary and worth the stay itself! The guesthouse hosts went truly above and beyond in giving us tips for getting around town, what to do, where to eat, and ensuring we had a 10/10 breakfast with local goods. We just loved this place, even if just for one night!

This appartment is one of the best value in Sicily. The appartment is large, clean, confortable and stylish (sicilian style). The hosts are very sympathic and helpfull. I stayed there one time with my wife and two daughters and decide to return later because I was back in the area. And one last thing : the view on the old city is exceptionnal!

The property has been beautifully restored and is very well located. Davide arranged parking in front of the property. Breakfast was plentiful and Davide was attentive to our requests. Overall, a wonderful overnight stay after our visit to Villa del Casale. Be sure to visit SiciliArteGusto - a nearby wine bar!

Villa Clementine is a delightful place to stay. Rita is a fabulous hostess who couldn’t be more kind and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional. The pool was refreshing after a long day in the heat. The location makes a welcome change and respite to the challenges that come with staying in the old cities of Sicily.
