Very charming place, the terrasse overlooking the sea has a breathtaking view of the sea and great place to see the sunset. Room was very clean and we had a nice view of the castle, a glimpse of the sea and the village ! The owner Gian Is such a nice man, he came to meet us at the train station to help with the bags and show us the way to the property, Vernassa is a bit of a maze of stairs and tiny alleys so we we happy to have him guide us :-) He also helped us with restaurant reservations and made us feel right at home We will definitely come back !

Perfect spot. Clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful with directions to the spot and their recommendations for activities were very helpful. Hike to Monterosso. 2 hrs. Well worth it.

    We loved the quaintness of vernazza. No cars etc around.we had 5nights and wandered to all villages.the little supermarket is very small and hours not the greatest but plenty of places to eat.during day may be busy but morning and late afternoons were fabulous.there were free concerts on too in the square which were delightful.cann enjoy takeaways on the rocks with beautiful views

    Lovely Village very nice people.

    Lovely Village very nice people. The main square is lively with great restaurents. The beach is close and there are lots of boating trips to the other villages. The hotel we stayed in was wonderful with a bar and a varenda on the cliffs of the Medeteranian Sea. Wonderful views and quiet time.

    Vernazza is absolutely "picture perfect" and my favourite...

    Vernazza is absolutely "picture perfect" and my favourite village, so far, of the Cinque Terre. It's small enough to feel cosy and intimate but busy enough to have everything you could possibly want or need during your stay. It's colourful gelato-coloured houses and streets, are such a delight! The port is stunning and is surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants and overlooks the calmer waters of the port bay, with it's fishing boats. The access was easy via car (leaving it at a custodian carpark and using a shuttle service to/from town). We also used trains which were extremely efficient ,modern and clean. Unfortunately we couldn't use the ferry service as the seas were very high during our stay. Our anniversary dinner was spectacular and so much fun, due to crashing waves and delightful staff! We highly recommend the BELFORTE restaurant on the end of the point, for its atmosphere, fabulous architecture, friendly & warm staff and absolutely fabulous food and wine choices! We were also fortunate enough to expereince the weekly market in Vernazza (Tuesday) which was fun and had lots of fabulous bargains, artisan pieces, clothings, food and decorative items. For those that aren't great walkers, we found Vernazza one of the easier villages to stroll through. Unless you're headed up to a restaurant or accomodation (lots of stairs) the main shopping and eating areas from the train station downwards towards the sea, are relatively flat and easy for most, I would say. A trip to the Cinque Terre, without seeing Vernazza would be a terrible shame!

    I wouldn't stay in Vernazza again, the other towns were better, have more options for food, supermarkets, etc, Vernazza is very small and the restaurants were expensive, next time I will probably stay in Monterosso.

    Vernazza is the perfect spot.

    Vernazza is the perfect spot. It's not too hilly and the square is beautiful. There are several restaurants and cafes as well as shops. It was by far the easiest town to get to from the rail station.

    Loved the vibe of this town!

    Loved the vibe of this town! It was chill, different than Monterosso in that it's not a hardcore beach town, different than Corniglia in that it's not as low-key, different than Riomaggiorie in that it's not as commercialized, different than Manarola but don't have a specific on how. It feels like one of the smaller towns. But it was AWESOME.

    Fantastic location right in the harbor, ideal for exploring Cinque Terre. The room was on the top floor under the roof – quite small, with only a skylight for a view, but view is on the harbor and sea. It got hot during the day, but the air conditioning worked well. Thanks to the shared bathroom and toilet, the price was very good compared to other places in the area. We used this accommodation during a two-day Cinque Terre trek and really appreciated the central location. A good budget option if you don’t mind limited space.

    Arguably the best spot in Vernazza! The apartment is in the heart of Vernazza right above the main square overlooking the bay, you are literally steps from the beach. The place is very well kept and equipped. The bed was also very comfy. It was a convenient location being just 100m from the train mainly down hill on arrival, making it easy with luggage and not many stairs, which is hard to come by in Cinque Terre. Marcella was also kind and accommodating, very responsive to messages. Check out and in was simple.

    A cheap and cheerful hotel in the heart of Vernazza. The manager was friendly and location was great. There is a great little Italian Taverna as you go up the steps to the rooms to have dinner at. The room was clean and comfortable for what we wanted... a base to explore Cinque Terre!
