Loved my stay at Sea Change, Thalpe! The Deluxe Double Room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with a super comfortable bed. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. Disclaimer: as a courtesy of our host we were offered a stay in another accommodation, a villa called Wild Kiss. Essentially it is another villa located on the same territory as Villa Ovita. So the following review applies to our overall stay regardless of the facility (Villa Ovita or Wild Kiss). A lovely spot The place itself looks like a cozy oasis in the jungle: apart from a place to stay you get the beautiful garden with blooming flowers and trees, as well as peculiar herbs and spices that the host uses for cooking a breakfast. From the garden you can see some wild animals like parrots, squirrels, as well as geese and a lovely dog that live within the property. The villa is a quite place isolated from the main roads which is perfect if you need some peace. However it's only a 5min bike ride to the nearest coast, and all the restaurants are within 10 minutes reach. The Wild Kiss villa was beyond amazing in terms of design and convenience: everything is brand new, beautifully made. You get everything you need - from wifi and AC to cute fancy bathrobes 😌 Super amazing host We got the warmest welcome possible from the first minutes: despite arriving super late (around 1am), Damith, the host, offered us a home made refreshment drink and showed us around. My legs were super hurting after a long tour around the island so Damith organized for us a masseur visit right on the villa for the price cheaper than it would be in the salon Damith also arranged us a bike rental for the price and quality better than we previously got in Hikkaduwa. Food (obviously) The breakfasts were a true reason to start a day: every day a new dish, home cooked, with a plate of fresh fruit and fresh juice. Yum!

    The owners are delightful, courteous and accommodating.

    The owners are delightful, courteous and accommodating. The outlook is gorgeous as right on the sea. The road is busy and noisy but the ocean is louder! We loved our stay here and the ideal place to relax after our long flight (they arranged a taxi to collect us). It is not that easy to find and don’t confuse with a restaurant called turtle beach which is 2km away.

    Spent only one night at Thalpe, by far the best place so far...

    Spent only one night at Thalpe, by far the best place so far in the area. The Seaview was amazing along with the rope swing. Keerthi who was at the place was very helpful even though there was a powerful for 7 hours.

    Absolutely all... Hosts were the best people we met during our trip across Srí Lanka. Host are very friendly, always with smile. Helping you with everything you want. Their smiles we will remeber forever. You can choose from english and local breakfast, we tried both. Local breakfast are very great i can recommend them. Beach is 1km ahead by walk, where is also many restaurants if you want. If we will go again to Srí Lanka, for sure we will visit again Villa Talpe <3

    Rooms are comfortable but compact. Room facilities not as described on booking.com Had issues with air conditioning in our friends room, and overall felt the food was at best average for Sri Lanka and sadly the staff seemed de-motivated. We also had issues with drainage in our shower and our friends air conditioning wasn't working. Be aware that the hotel is on a busy main road which can be noisy. View of sea is fantastic.
