you have the opportunity to experience three different types of environment. The Mainland part, which feels run down and was rather overcrowded with Mainland tourists. This is where you will find most of the historical aspects of Macao. I have not been to Macao for some time.
I have not been to Macao for some time. I would say that there are too many visitors from China in the centre of Macao i.e. like in other countries e.g. Barcelona, Paris etc. Therefore, it is better to go to a place like the Pousada de Coloane if you want to escape the crowds and have a quiet, restful holiday. Macau is (to most people) an overlooked city in the world. It is a totally unique place with both a European and Chinese feel. It is a city of high contrast and so easy to get around by foot. There is something to see and experience around every corner. It has a compelling charm that few cities have anymore.
