Indispensable place to visit in Yucatán . The rose lack is increíble. As it iS a preservation área onside a prívate property You should pay to Enter with an oficial guide in the office. It iS the Best option. They are very well trainned to explain You why the lack is rose. Moreover, on the other SIDE The sea is beautiful and clean. The Best restaurant is Las Coloradas, good food and attention, it iS the Best place in the city. It is a vey small Town of fishers ,, very interesting. You can also visit the flamingos reserve.

The pink salt ponds are relly cool- I did the "Safari Tour" in a truck and was glad I wasn't walking in the sun! The town is tiny and everything shuts down very ealry. Restauarnts close at 6pm. You willl have the beach to yourself, some dogs, and a bunch of fishing boats. If I came again I would choose to stay at a differnt town that had more amenities but I am glad I got to see it once. I enjoyed eating at Lalo's.

Goal is to have a look at the pink water and possibly see the flamingos.
Entrance fee is a ripoff, as you can see the water a few hundreds meters further, without having to pay at all. Of course you don’t get to hear about the salt extracting business, but let’s face it: people go there to see the pink water. A couple of flamingos could be seen in the distance (a good zoom did the trick).
