- Friendly, thoughtful host - Very accurate photos - Spotless, tranquil, standalone cottage with everything (appliances, utensils, spices, etc.) one might need -Host provided quality soap, cereals, yogurt, bread, milk, juice, and numerous other thoughtful knickknacks -Streaming TV with all of the major apps (Netflix, Prime, Disney, etc.) available for sign-in -The most comfortable couch we have experienced in NZ -Very comfortable bed -Excellent water pressure

Our stay was a real treat but worth every penny and more. We loved being surrounded by the beautiful scenery, having our gorgeous rooms and no tv! What an oasis. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was so clear that ingredients were freshly sourced and expertly cooked. I mean the only flaw is that you wish you could stay forever!

Everything was so thoughtfully designed, selected, and located. It felt like home, only cleaner! The hosts had clearly considered what guests might need and want, and went above and beyond making sure that they provided all of the ingredients to make for a comfortable stay. Great light and room darkening shades, an expansive deck from which to enjoy the vies, extraordinarily comfortable beds and linens, spacious bathroom, ample hot water (and pressure), washer/dryer and dishwasher including washing powder, heat and AC, an intuitively laid out and comprehensive house how-to and guide book, milk and various condiments provided, an espresso machine with a milk frother AND freshly ground local beans…

    Great location not far to drive from the city. The house was spacious for everyone. Such a tranquil location with many animals around. Puhoi was always a favourite of location to visit when I grew up. Brings backs so many great memories.

    I loved the location, good access to and from Auckland which...

    I loved the location, good access to and from Auckland which was my intention but not from North. I hired the house on busineness as no accomodation at hotels in Auckland. Myself and two colleagues stayed and had plenty of space (from eachother :-) ) and easy access to Orewa/Silverdale as well as nearer.
