We had 3 nights in Aveiro.
We had 3 nights in Aveiro. We spent 2 mornings visiting local beaches, which were great, then explored Aveiro n the afternoon and evenings. All lovely. Hired bikes for free for 2 hours and went to the salt flats. Worth it. Did the Art Nouveau tour using a map from the tourist office. An interesting town, good to walk around and to cycle out to...
An interesting town, good to walk around and to cycle out to the coast (bike hire is reasonably). Some very good restaurants near the quayside adjacent the fish market (now unused). The canal boat rides are not really worthwhile, as don’t go very far and ours did not provide much information on history and the locality-a self guided walk does just as much. Not enough accessibility to the nature reserve areas of the vast lagoons. But cycling to Cost Nova (coast) and its striped houses provided a glimpse of real Portugal.Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom
