Nice place close to downtown Carmel. Our bedroom was clean, cozy and it had a sink which when traveling with an infant makes it so much easier.

Carmel by the Sea is a very pretty little town.
Carmel by the Sea is a very pretty little town. Feels like you in Europe. We were centrally located and could walk everywhere. There are art galleries, little gift shops, expensive shops, sweet shops, something for everyone. They all look similar which gives the town so much character. Town is clean, we took a drive to Pebble beach golf resort which is amazing to see if you a golfer. We also did the 19mile drive around the beach which was very pretty. I definitely recommend this as a stop if you driving down the Westcoast, California.

A truly lovely place with well managed civic operations… no trash, no stains in the sidewalk. Things like trash cans and vending machines well disguised to keep the appearance of town cleat and clean. Great for walking, restaurants are plentiful and neighborhoods are well kept with beautiful landscape.

My husband and I visit Carmel twice a year and it never gets old. I love the shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Porta Bella is one of our favorite restaurants but you can't go wrong with any restaurant in Carmel. Visiting the beach for the day is a must! Also, Pebble Beach is a five minute drive and worth the beautiful sights!

For rich boomers. Everything expensive. Nice art galleries.
For rich boomers. Everything expensive. Nice art galleries. We tried Flying Fish restaurant, which was an odd mix of traditions, everything sweetened. They complained that my tip was not big enough as I left. A first. Turns out their method of calculating was unusual.I had thought a tip was included. $14.50 was added for something and I thought it was the tip. Turns out it was a charge for using a credit card. New to me. You can walk everywhere and parking is a challenge. Not a lot of kids. Not much for them except the beach. Beach walks long and pleasant. Town walks for shopper ladies.

the location was great, both when it came to shopping (food and other things) or restaurants. you have to walk a bit to the beach, but it's not a problem, it's just uphill backwards. The Carmel Plaza with stores and restaurants is a good 5-minute walk away.
The hotel is simple and clean, we just had queen size beds, there wasn't too much space in the bed. The breakfast basket is ok if you only need a little in the morning. The free parking in the courtyard is very practical. All in all a great hotel.
A super cute hotel with a nice cosy and warm feeling. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of all the Carmel fun! It is a very safe town and the parking on-site was a great plus. Staff was friendly and chatty! We really loved our stay at Hofsa House and fell in love with Carmel. We will definitely be back!
The hotel's location is amazing. It's easy to walk to the beach. The hotel is Old Charm for Carmel with wonderful staff. There are so many places to eat here, but the hotel is also great. It has an amazing happy hour.
Beautiful, quirky hotel in the beautiful Carmel by the Sea.
Lovely spacious room with balcony and little touches like the wine and cheese and breakfast. brophy’s tavern next door was great too. Staff lovely!
Unimpressively mediocre room for a ridiculous 5 star boutique hotel prize. I come frequently to Carmel and check out new locations to stay. This place will become one of the more unpleasant memories.
