Located 1 mile away from Carmel Beach, this hotel features a hot tub and serves a daily continental breakfast. It offers free guest parking and rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi. Wonderful room, very kind and helpful staff, great location! We were very close to the city center, just a few minutes walk, but the location was very quiet. We had a laundromat right next door which was perfect since we needed to do laundry after several days of travel. There were great restaurants very close by. My wife and I really loved this Inn.
Lobos Lodge is located in Carmel, 2.2 mi from Point Lobos State Reserve. The property is located 984 feet from Carmel Plaza, 0.9 mi from Carmel Mission and a 5-minute walk from Carmel Beach Access. The General Manager was very knowledgable and helpful about suggesting restaurants and things to do in and near Carmel. She took extra time to see that we have everything we needed and gave us a very nice room upgraded even though we didn't book directly with them. All the front end staff were very welcoming and ready to accommodate us in any way they could. Excellent lodging experience!
Boasting panoramic ocean views, this California hotel is in walking distance of 12 wine tasting rooms. Carmel’s sandy white beaches are 4 blocks away. All elegant rooms include free Wi-Fi. Breakfast excellent. Room spacious and comfortable. Nice bath and spa tub.
Located 15 minutes' walk from the Carmel Beach City Park, The Hideaway offers guest rooms equipped with a mini-bar and free WiFi. The Hideaway serves a full breakfast every morning in the dining room.... The breakfast was a dream, the room stylish and very thoughtfully decorated and designed. The lighting was excellent, as were the bathroom facilities, and the bed was super comfortable. The complimentary reception each evening from 4-6pm was a great opportunity to meet other travellers and the hospitality was first class from the staff.
Just 1 mile from Pebble Beach and Carmel Mission, Best Western Plus Carmel Bay View Inn is adjacent to exclusive shops and galleries. A seasonal outdoor pool is located on site. Large confortable room with fireplace. Good, but simple breakfast. Nice staff. Place to park the car and close to stores and restaurants.
Just 5-minutes’ walk from restaurants and shops in Carmel city center, Hofsas House Hotel features a heated outdoor pool and a continental breakfast with fresh pastries. Amazing place right in the centre of carmel

The Clarion Collection hotel is in Carmel by the Sea. Carmel Beach, Pebble Beach, Cannery Row restaurants, shops and historic sites, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and whale watching and fishing at Old... It was a nice touch to get a breakfast basket delivered to our door in the morning

We absolutely love Carmel by the sea! Love the quaint inns with amazing art galleries & so many cute little restaurants! I love that you can walk everywhere in this cute town without using a car. The beach there is breathtaking! Morning strolls on Scenic drive & walking down to the sand is the best way to get great exercise & photo ops. The little shops & wineries are so cozy & fun. The weather is fantastic; always sunny & a little chilly. The perfect escape from the hot days in Texas! We would love to retire here but the cute little houses cost millions of dollars! So a long weekend staying in one of the cozy inns makes for the perfect romantic getaway. We like to rent a car for 1 day ( one morning until the following morning & dropping the car off at the Monterey airport for our flight back) and drive down the Pacific coast highway to Big Sur for the BEST lunch you will ever have at the Post Ranch Inn. & also do the famous 17 mile drive stopping for drinks at Pebble Beach. Best dinner experience hands down is Dametras Cafe, GET RESERVATIONS here! they do this greek dance where all the staff dance & grab the diners to participate! Best evening cocktails is around the piano at the Mission Ranch for some Sinatra tunes & people watching. & do go have a cocktail in the evening at the Cypress Inn; great singers there too in the spacious living room by the fireplace with all the dog lovers and their dogs; corny but cute! The food here is delicious too! great for patio dining in the sunshine or under the patio heaters in the evening & reasonably priced
One of my favorite places! I really love the charm of Carmel! And Point Lobos and the 17-mile drive are just short drive away, which are absolutely beautiful! The only not-so-great thing is the expensive restaurants and cafes. They don't provide the quality I expected for what I was paying.
Carmel has a charming character....an upscale yet historical place with a feeling of the 50's and 60's. Beautiful landscapes and charming architecture all around. The Views of the Pacific Ocean from Scenic Drive are breathtaking! There are lots of fabulous restaurants lining the streets and fun boutiques and art galleries to explore! It's a must see for anyone visiting California. It's one of California's treasures!
We came tired and a little worne out and left strong and enthusiastic. It was the beach, the restaurants, the friendlieness and the dogs. Yes, the dogs on the beach was an adventure of its own for us animallovers. We took a day in Monteray Bay Aquarium to learn more about the marine surroundings, very inspiring and educational. So when we met the seals of Carmel we knew them a little better ;-) Everything is in walking distance and easy to find. We will be back!
Charming village. Very walkable. Lots of shops and restaurants. Nice beach with view of Pebble Beach although it would be a challenge for some to climb the steep hill back to center of town. Short distance to Big Sur and the drive through Carmel Valley was also beautiful. Enjoyed walking all along the shore drive with beautiful vistas and homes.
Carmel (and the entire Monterey Bay) is beautiful! There is a lot to do, so allow a few days to see it all. We have been going to Carmel/Monterey for years. It’s one of our favorite areas of California. My only complaint are the prices. I was surprised how expensive restaurants are now. Though we expect an increase, it appears the price in restaurants has gone up exponentially. I hope the area is not out pricing the “middle class.”

I liked the friendliness of the hotel and amenities like being able to use the kitchen so we could eat in one night. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to stay somewhere with its own personality. We enjoyed the walk to and from Carmel either along the beach or the road (approx 20 minutes). The hotel lent us torches for the walk back in the dark. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Wow, pure luxury room in what from the outside simply looks to be a charming motel! The room with fireplace, luxury amenities and linens, huge gorgeous bathroom, and incredibly comfortable bed are what you would expect from 5-Star hotel. Incredible value for what you get, we will come back here again and again. Reception even got us a reservation at one of the nicest restaurants in town.

The staff were outstanding. We must have spoken to four different receptionists and they couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The location could not be much better and it is really this that you are paying for. Really easy walking distance to all of central Carmel and its restaurants and galleries as well as the beach.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance from everything in Carmel by the Sea. Nice little property, felt like somewhere in the Cotswolds in England which is an amazing region to visit. Free parking and a good breakfast. Big TV and a huge bed.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and efficient. For this area, value for your money is excellent. It is located within walking distance to The Barnyard but one must drive to Carmel By the Sea and Carmel Valley.

Very close to the centre of Carmel and a 2-3 minute walk to some great shops and restaurants. Beach is 10 minutes away. Have a good look around for some nice bars just a minute from the hotel. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Very lovely little place. Rooms look dated compared to other hotels/inns, but that adds to the charm with this particular place, as the rest of the decor fits. Very close to the beach and all of the restaurants etc.

Comfortable beds, quiet location, free parking, cold buffet breakfast .. good selection. Coffee very weak. Carmel is quiet village atmosphere, very nice, selection of expensive boutique shops, not touristy or tacky.

Nice room, well lit, and with high quality comfortable beds. The landscaping and architecture fits the Carmel style very well and I enjoyed the non-hotel feel.
