From the front desk, to the breakfast staff, even the check out process we were greeted with smiling faces and very happy employees. The room was SPOTLESS and we had a cool view of an active train track which we could see but didn't have to hear. The room was up to date and very comfortable, plenty of charging ports for devices, lots of counter space and big ole cozy bed!!! Bathroom equipped with pump bottles of soaps and lotions not the little ones nothing comes out of from a brand you've never seen! There was plenty of parking and the hotel was very easy to get to coming from New York. Keurig style coffee pot in the room and a breakfast not worth missing. I've left a lot of hotels and skipped their "breakfast". Holiday inn, especially this one.....worth waking up for !!!!! Look forward to staying at this hotel when we are back in the New jersey/New York area!!!

Location near by two metro stations allowing quick access to New York City. Near by Hudson river for evening walks. Not so busy roads when driving a car. Neighborhood is quiet, close to restaurants. Close to Statue of Liberty Park on Jersey side which is not crowded. Hotel room was big enough for 4 people. There was small kitchen for preparing breakfast.

    We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of...

    We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.

    Lack of parking was very frustrating.

    Lack of parking was very frustrating. We drove around for literally an hour looking for a place to park on a Sunday. Lots everywhere were empty but there were no attendants or it was just places that you were not allowed to park like weekend closed business, even though there was plenty of parking available in their lot. And then to be out on the street where there is zero parking available it was unbelievably frustrating. We cut our trip short and left at 6:00 in the morning because I was afraid of my car getting towed on Monday morning. Street signs were vague and all of them had limited days as well as limited hours that you could park on those days and none of them without a parking permit. Nothing would bring me back to Jersey City. Nothing.

    We loved strolling around Hamilton Park and the old city...

    We loved strolling around Hamilton Park and the old city neighbourhood. We loved the view back to Manhattan. We loved being able to access NYC and Hoboken easily. We loved the contrast of NYC and Jersey City.

    Getting around was good.

    Getting around was good. I had business to do back in Manhattan area and to also see family in Canarsie area and the traveling by car back and forth was good. We got some beef patties from Amazing Flavors which were awesome. We ate at the Chinese restaurant as you come off of Roosevelt from the place we stayed we made a right at the corner were the markets and all were and I believe the restaurant was named China Garden, they were fast and delicious. All places to shop for groceries and to order food was about 800feet from where we stayed. Jersey City we will be back!!! 💫

    Being by the harbour side in JC is so relaxing with the best...

    Being by the harbour side in JC is so relaxing with the best views of Manhattan. Liberty park is close by and there are some excellent places to eat. You could easily stay here and quickly and cheaply get in to NY via the PATH

    I found Jersey City to be a very nice area.

    I found Jersey City to be a very nice area. I walked everywhere and was very safe. There are people everywhere, and I only encountered one man who was having a drug-fueled psychotic episode on the street. So, in comparison to most of Manhattan, JC was very sweet.

    The apartment is spacious.More than enough room for 6 peoples.Kitchen has everything you need for cooking.The place is very clean and in a very quite neighbourhood.Trolley/Train station Richard Street is reachable in 10 minute walking.From there you can get to Jersey City Exchange Place where you can get on a ferry to New York City.
