Staff at this hotel was very attentive and answered all of the questions that we had. Helped us rent motorbike and there was plenty of parking out front. The pool was large and clean. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options and made certain items to order such as eggs and pho. Location is great as it's a few mins drive from down town.

Great accommodation surrounded by beautiful nature. It's fun to just take one of the free bicycles and ride around the area. :) They also rent scooters and provide laundry service although laundry is quite expensive with 65k/kilo. Food is also on the more expensive side. Staff is great though and make you feel welcome straight away. And they have cute dogs. 🐕😊

It’s such a quaint cute little bungalow, away from the main street of Tam Coc. The staff are really nice and prepared welcome snacks, drinks and foot bath in the evening with warm drinks. Honestly, I don’t even get this in the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at around the world. Just kind people.

What a great place to stay for anyone coming to the Tam Coc area! Here are a few highlights: -Our host and all the staff there were fantastic! Really professional, kind, and helpful. She helped to arrange our transport to/from Ha Noi, attended to a load of our laundry, gave tips for where to visit, etc. They can also help arrange a tour of the top tourist spots. -The room was very nice, quiet, with a big comfortable bed. The shower had good pressure and got hot without problem. The AC worked very well too. -We took advantage of the free bikes. We used them to see a lot of the most popular sites in the area, including the Tam Coc boat tour, Hang Mua, Bich Dong Pagoda, Thai Vi Temple, and Thung Nham Bird Park. -The backdrop of the karst mountains was stunning — the area feels like a mini resort; remote, but you're still super close to Tam Coc's town center (full of nice restaurants). The rice fields are pretty along the road. The pool was refreshing, especially after some hot days out and about. -The breakfast each morning was delicious and came with a lot of goodies to give you energy for the day (eggs, pineapple pancakes, freshly squeezed juice, coffee, etc.) And the view from the dining area was really pretty!

So clean, modern, spacious, great breakfast, great pool. By far the best hotel we have stayed at in Vietnam, if not ever. Such great value for money too. We ended up extending our stay in Tam Coc mainly because of how nice the hotel was. Highly highly recommend!!

The location is amazing and the staff is always available. The hotel is very nice, with an amazing pool (which we didn’t use because of the weather). We rented a motorbike for two days and visited many places nearby. They also have bicycles available for free

Best place I’ve stayed in Vietnam, maybe even in any country. It is run by two sisters, and they shared with me that their philosophy is to make every person that steps inside their gate feel like they’ve entered their home. They really go above and beyond to do that. And the fact that there are only 6 bungalows means that they give attention to each guest. The room is very nice and comfortable, with WiFi, a hot shower, heating and AC, bike rentals, and a really nice garden. The location is very convenient. But even more than that - they greeted me with tea and fruit when I arrived, then they sit with each guest to help them plan their itinerary in the area, complete with restaurant recommendations (which were fantastic). They made a delicious breakfast in the morning. They prepare a complimentary herbal footbath each night. I was taking an overnight train, and they even let me take a shower before leaving, booked me a taxi, and packed me a bag with water/snacks for the train - as well as providing me an herbal footbath before I left. I got to chat with them for a while and they were so sweet. Literally nothing bad that I can say. You won’t regret staying here. I only stayed 2 days/1 night and they treated me this well - I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.

    The view is stunning.

    The view is stunning. I was shocked of how beautiful and cleaned this city is. You can enjoy cycling around the city under the quiet, historic and cultural atmosphere. At the famous landmarks, there was no scam or shoving, hustling, jostling. The goat meat in Ninh Binh is so delicious

    Overall, the experience was very good.

    Overall, the experience was very good. Trang An and Mua Cave were absolutely must-visit places—stunning and unforgettable. If there’s one small note, I found that prices around Tam Coc were a little higher compared to Trang An, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the trip.

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National...

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National Park and I caught the end of the butterfly migration which was an exceptional, never to be forgotten experience. The nearest ATM to Wyndham Grand is only a 5 minute drive away but it is advisiable to bring cash to pay taxi drivers, shops and the National Park entrance fee. Taxis are easy to arrange and fairly reasonably priced. It is common to agree a price for a round trip and often the driver will wait for you, sometimes for several hours.

    Hoa Lu, the ancient capital is a great place to visit, pls book the tour guide who can help you to understand the place, pls spend time for walking around, even climd up the mountain to see the whole landscape. We did have a great time and we enjoyed it a lot. Thung Nham is another place worth visiting, especially at 5pm when all the birds are flying back home, it is fantastic view to see and enjoy Night market with long walk along the river is another great experiences. The food, the people and the landscape of Ninh Binh: wonderful!

    Our stay at Tam Coc Horizon will remain engraved in our memories. The welcome and service throughout our stay were greatly appreciated. The different excursions are easy to organize. The room was clean, the food delicious and the little touches such as the foot bath and the tea offered when we returned to the room differentiated the service from other hotels where we stayed in Vietnam. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone who would like to come and visit the beautiful region of Ninh Binh.

    The location is good we could walk for about 7 minutes to the city center of Tam Coc. It was even nearer with a bicycle. The staff were friendly, resourceful and helpful in terms of advising on which executions options we could look at. They arranged everything for us. On our last day we choose to experience traveling by train from Ninh Binh to Hanoi.The hotel sent us to the train station with their own car, their driver and Nguyen one of the receptionists came along and sorted everything for us.

    Very nice property between Ninh Binh proper and Tam Coc. It feels exclusive. The bikes make it simple to get around and they are included in the hotel price. Be prepared to pay for supervised bike parking at your destinations. The goat dishes were flavourful.
