All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. Had the most lovely stay at Pakping Hostel. Everything was super clean, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is prefect for seeing everything in the old town. I have already booked my future stay coming back through Chiang Mai.

After loving my stay at The Yard Bangkok, I knew I had to check out their Chiang Mai spot. And what can I say? This is the best hostel in Asia. Period. It’s the kind of place where you do everything at your own pace. The perfect balance of social—you never have to join in, but you’re always welcome. There’s always something for you. You’ll meet the most fascinating people and have the most fulfilling conversations. My favorite part of the hostel? Their iconic breakfast obvs, but also the playlists curated by M at reception. I could (and did) sit all day just vibing to it. Huge salute to Som & The Yard family for creating such a beautiful community. See you next time! Chiza and Jackie were the nicest hostel hosts we encountered, they had such a friendly attitude and were willing to help with any questions or concerns we had. They had such welcoming personalities, and provided fresh fruits and local snacks each morning for the guests. The hostel was in an excellent location, walking distance from many attractions. The hosts made this experience in Chiang Mai very memorable - will definitely return to this hostel if I’m back.

We just had a really short stay for 1 day but the receptionist made our stay comfortable with her warm reception. The property is clean and just enough for a short stay.

Lovely owner, George and his wife Kim are wonderful people. They made me feel very comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable with great privacy. The bathrooms are ALWAYS clean and the kitchen area is great. George and Kim are always sure to leave food out for guests to enjoy. The location is perfect—off a quiet side street it’s a quick 10 minute walk to the night markets. There’s a 7eleven at either end of the road too.

Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. super clean, big spacious and bright room pool is not big but actually very good for swimming I love how quiet it gets when swimming in the late afternoon- the view with banana trees is great! not a full-service hotel (so more for experienced travelers or without kids) the lady staff is so kind and helpful free snacks are nice!
