The person who welcomed us to the hotel was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Very patience, waited until we were all checked in, helped us to the room and he was full of good information. He got a good tip!

Great location. Literally right in front of the beach. Also right next to a minimart, the American equivalent of a 7/11. Also. The price is good for the room if you’re on a budget!

First, I want to start with the staff. Everyone was fantastic. Especially Sofia. The staff are one of the many highlights of this amazing facility. Facilities were great, we spent a lot of time at the rooftop pool and enjoyed every minute of it.

Colourful and historic, modern and colonial, local and touristic, Cartagena de Indias represents one of the liveliest Colombian beach resorts. Its character mixes cultures and peoples, including natives, Spanish, African and Arab. Its rich legacy granted its Old Town the recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
When the Spanish founded the city in 1533, the region had already been inhabited for thousands of years. It became an important port for the Spanish gold and a significant political centre. Echoes of those times can be seen throughout the historic centre, in the city walls, the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, and the colourful streets and colonial squares. Some of the best hotels in Cartagena de Indias can be found here.

This is one of my fav places in the world to visit but, unfortunately, sex tourism is becoming a big problem in Cartagena. As long as there is no control of the "demand", the supply will be there. It is about time this gets fixed. Some hotels do their part but the problem is bigger than one thinks. It is almost out of control.
There are also places I would not dare to visit unless I am accompanied by several friends. If you want to head out and have a few drinks, be very careful with cell phone and wallet.

My stay at Cartagena de Indias Hotel y Centro de Convenciones was stellar. The staff, the room, the vast breakfast offerings, and the general ambience were exceptional. From this point, no other hotel can compare.

Nice vacation, a lot to see, city is really nice, especially in the evening with animations. But very hot and beaches are not clean, you need to go to beaches far away (by boat). I liked to see free animals (monkeys,...) in the city park Centenario.

Cartegena has so much culture and history.
Cartegena has so much culture and history. The food was fantastic! There is live music in every restaurant and bar. Traditional dancing can be found in the squares and you just need to tip. Just be aware of all the street hustlers, especially the rappers who will follow you. The old town comes alive after 8pm. Be prepared for the 90-100% humidity during the mid-day. It is best to site see early in the morning or evening and siesta or pool lounge during the mid day.

The "Old City" is beautiful and historic - and has excellent gelato! Unfortunately, no Dr Pepper...
The beaches are good, and provide a diversion (or a primary reason to go, if you are young) and a completely different atmosphere.

Lots to do if you work with local tourist agents.
Lots to do if you work with local tourist agents. Leave the area and go to Baru for glowing plankton or boats to Rosario archipelago. Old town. Watch out for street vendors selling trinkets and being too pushy.

We really enjoyed this boutique hotel. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We did have an issue with the room we initially booked. Tatiana, who works at the front desk was exceptional. She went over and above to get us settled into another. I recommend rooms on floor 2 or higher - note there are no elevators and some stairs are quite steep. We loved the hotel's proximity in the city. The rooftop breakfast was delicious. The rooftop pool and lounge area were perfect to enjoy in the heat of the afternoon and relax.
The place is situated really near the plaza of Getsemani where it's close to everything. There's a kitchen that u can use and the place is spotless clean, Maria is such a very wonderful host and Elly ( the one who makes the breakfast, not sure if that's her name) is so wonderful. They are so friendly and they make the breakfast more lively. they change the breakfast daily and we enjoyed the traditional colombian breakfast. Rooms are really well decorated and the place is cozy and homey.
This hotel is only 7 rooms so you get one on one service. We had the room right on the street above the entrance, but it was totally quiet. Breakfast is nice, and the staff will do whatever you want them to do. We asked for poached eggs which they didn't know how to do, but they were willing to learn and it was great. The location is fantastic with restaurants on your doorstep, and you are in the old city and Getsemani is within walking distance. A fantastic place to stay.
The best penthouse in Cartagena de Indias. The apartment has a huge terrace with a private pool and with the best view in the historic center of Cartagena . After a tourist 's day the best moment was when we came back to the apartment. We stayed three days in Cartegena and the last day we decided to remind all the day at home smelling and seeing the Caribbean Sea from the terrace .
We will never forget that apartment !!!
I will try come back there sure !!!
The host was really lovely and the 2 little dogs were so sweet! It is right across the street from a huge plaza but you would never know until you get to the door as there’s huge walls all around it. The house is on a really safe and quiet street but in close walking distance to everything!
This is a private room in the owners house, not a hostel or a hotel. We didn’t realise this when we booked but it turned out great!
It was very close to everything, taking an Uber was extremely easy and you were 10min away from almost any location. You could also go for a walk and find a lot of things around
The view is amazing and the staff is very kind!
I really liked that you could do your money exchange directly at the hotel.
The rooftop was amazing, it has an incredible view of Cartagena and has a bar if you want to chill there at night!
Love that it is centrally located one block from the Plaza Aduana, San Pedro Claver and the lush Plaza de Bolivar and Palacio de la Inquicision. Love the courtyard style architecture with a modern twist. Very comfy beds and spacious suite with kitchen and laundry. And quite a terrific and quiet rooftop pool with fabulous views over the roofs of the historic Cartagena.
The location is really good, close enough to the sites in Getsemani and the Old City without being on a ridiculously busy street. The beds were comfortable and the maid service cleaned regularly. The included breakfast was convenient. The hotel worked with us to coordinate with day trip companies we booked to pick us up directly from the hotel, which was great.
Our first time to Cartagena, Colombia and we decided to go with Casa San Agustin, and it was the best decision ever. This hotel passed out expectation, especially the cleanliness, the housekeepers would clean twice a day, the place smelled super fresh. The food was excellent, the view, the pool, the location, the staff service. :)
The location was good. The breakfast was at least decent. One of the receptionists was really nice, he even gave me some cash (I deposited US dollars so he could borrow me Colombian Pesos). Because due to the incident with the hotel safe I was not able to get my credit card back.
Perfect location in the historic center. Close to great restaurants, plazas. Wonderful friendly staff. The hotel had lots of character in the common areas, but lacked character in the room. Best breakfast we had in Colombia. Small roof top pool with a bar for drinks.
We had stayed inside the city walls for 3 nights and chose to stay in this hotel for 2 nights sun & R&R before moving on from Colombia. The hotel is nice and has a really good restaurant. We had breakfast once and lunch twice - each meal was delicious.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city which provided a sanctuary from the heat and sensory overload at times outside. Very attentive staff, service and five star treatment.
Yummy breakfast included and we took advantage of the room service.
It's the best hotel in Cartagena de Indias, everything was wonderful, they have a good team, all the guys are very kind always, and the location is perfect, just 1.8 km from the airport and 2.5 km from the historic center.
In the old city, the hotel is well kept and comfortable with excellent and helpful staff. The breakfasts are incredibly good, with and excellent choice.
We would definitely stay here again when we return to Cartagena.
Loved decor and finishings in entire hotel. Room was large. Body wash and lotion were really good quality. Perfect location to walk to and from old city.
