My favorite spots was the beach itself and the bars around the recreational areas. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet as they have a variety of food items. I didnt get out of the hotel just to do one tour outside the area. the hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. there was a bubble party at the pool. Visiting the Coco Bongo area was a highlight — it’s a fun place with nightlife, two shopping malls, and plenty of restaurants and bars to explore. We had breakfast at Kat’s Corner, which was included with our stay. For dinner, we went to Capitán Cook, which had great seafood. For dessert, Dalia’s was a lovely spot. It was relatively easy to get around, especially by walking or using local transportation, 3 wheel taxi. The Bavaro beaches are beautiful, only problem might be the seaweed has a funny smell, but the hotel staff removes it every morning. For me it was not that big of a deal. I recommend the all inclusive experience so you can enjoy the resort experience, I visited Isla Saona but found it too crowded and the trip is a long one. We really enjoyed our stay at Ambar Adults only resort. Our pool was great, staff and entertainment at the pool we liked too. The beach there is fantastic also. We loved the Sports Bar and the buffet was good. We were not pleased with the difficulty of making reservations at the specialty restaurants or not being able to go to many that we wanted to go to.
