The centre of Paignton is terrible, unless you want a lot noise, crowds, and a pier where gambling and plastic entertainment is wanted. A huge number of cafes, but shuttered at night, and few places to eat in the evening The beach furthest from the town centre is good. The location of Paignton is good for travelling on the steam train (£22.50 per adult return including ferry to Dartmouth) to Kingswear/Dartmouth. The Coastal Path is definitely worth walking.

Multi screen cinema on the front is only £4-99 if you book via your phone on the Vue website, at this price there is always plenty of seats available. The cinema overlooks Torbay road which has amusement arcades a few bars , cafes etc. There is a short stroll into town from here with a number of shops including Poundland. Plenty of buses available if you fancy a 15 minute trip into Torquay.

Paignton is fine, if you like climbing, pushing a wheelchair in the street can be hard, some street being steep. Paignton nice seafront ideal for young family. The big hotel 5 star suitable for the older generation. Activities and trips arranged by the hotel. Good food any time of the day. Torquay 3 miles away, great place to visit.

Paignton sea front was too busy for me but the actual town and the outskirts of the town have everything you need. Travelling to all the other towns and villages was very easy and paignton is a great base. The beaches around the coves are amazing.broadstones beach is stunning. All i will say is be prepared to pay everywhere to park even the beaches make sure you carry cash for the toilets too.

The room was spacious and we were upgraded to the balcony room for free. JoDee was so kind, even dropping off our favorite tea (the box had corgis on it!)! Owners JoDee and James are super personable and available for questions. It felt like staying with family. The ocean views are absolutely spectacular with views of Paignton and Brixham. It's right by the beach but you're away from the noisy crowds but still close to food. And our balcony was amazing! We had dinner and drinks with family several times while we were there.

Handy position on Paignton seafront. Be fair to say this family run "traditional" hotel caters mainly for older discerning couples/families and a bit of turkey and tinsel... those appreciate good service and value. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Really love the lounge and veranda area sited at the front of the hotel where the help yourself tea/coffee can be found. The super king bed was really comfortable a the whole hotel was warm and cosy.

Lovely clean comfortable guest house set in a very convenient central location. The guest house has onsite parking which is a real bonus in Paignton. The owners were really, friendly, helpful and accommodating. We actually left an expensive beauty product behind, which the owners alerted us to very quickly and posted to us straight away. Lovely guest house, would highly recommend.

It was a lovely stay, glad I upgraded to Sea view and balcony, it was brilliant, at night not only strings of coloured lights, also a blue laser light across the sky. The hosts were charming, the room , and en suite very clean, I have stayed at many different places in Paignton over the years. I would definitely return to the Beach 🏖️ Hotel 🏨.

Alan & Trish & Gemma has been very kind in hosting us. They took care of every little detail we mentioned. The breakfast was delicious, and so was the location. Cherry Tree Hotel made us like Paignton a little bit more. Alan & Trish even helped us with local sight seeing recommendations. Thanks, Alan and Trish, for making our stay so wonderful.
