The living/dining room is a good size, and flooded with natural light from the large windows and sliding door which leads out to a patio area. This sun trap is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of bubbly as you enjoy the variety of visiting birdlife which abound the well-maintained gardens. Just off the living area is a well-appointed kitchen, which offers everything you need to prepare anything from a simple sandwich or packed lunch, to a romantic three course meal for two. The apartment sits just 1 mile outside of Bowness-on-Windermere, which is a popular town on the banks of Lake Windermere. From here you can take one of the various cruises which criss-cross this massive body of water. The cruises visit other locations such as Ambleside or Lakeside, where you can visit the aquarium or take a step back in time and jump aboard a steam train to Haverthwaite. For the more active among you, motorboats can be hired or if you prefer, paddle boards, kayaks or rowing boats are on offer. Bowness has a good variety of shops and a great selection of pubs, cafés and restaurants to cater for all tastes.
